Valkoruskea hääkortti

Ystäväni menee naimisiin tänään ja tein luonnollisesti hääkortin itse. :) Tein parikin eri vaihtoehtoa, mutta lopulta tämä päätyi lahjan mukaan. Postaan toisen ehdokkaan joku toinen kerta.

This is going to be a long post so I'll squeeze the English texts in between the images instead of my usual style having the other language in the end. My friend is getting married today so of course I needed a nice card. I made two options, but this was the one that got selected with the gift. :) I'll post the other card later.

Taustalla on ihanaa eläväpintaista ruskeaa paperia sekä kakkupapereita. Kuva on Sliekjen söpö digikuva, jonka väritin ProMarkereilla. Stanssasin kuvan ja sen taustalla olevan ruskean paperin Marianne Designsin stansseilla. Tekstin kirjoitin koneella ja tulostin ruskealle paperille. Teksti ja helmiäiskartongista tehty taustasydän on stanssattu Sizzixin sydänstansseilla. Lisukkeena kuitukangasta, leveää nauhaa, paperiruusuja, puolihelmiä, Sticklesiä sekä koristehelmineula, johon lisäsin vielä muutaman extrahelmen.

Background is done with brown paper and doilies. The image is cutie wedding couple by Sliekje and it's coloured with ProMarkers. I cut the image and the brown paper for layering with Marianne Designs' die. I wrote the text on computer and printed out on the same brown paper I used otherwise. Both the text and the pearlscent heart under it is cut with Sizzix dies. In addition I used some non-woven fabric, wide ribbon, paper roses, flat pearls and Stickles. I even added a pin with some pearls.

Sisäpuolella on samaa ruskeaa paperia sekä samanlainen sydänkombo kuin kannessa, mutta eri tekstillä.

Inside I used the same brown paper as on the cover and the heart combo is similar as well, but with different text.

Tässä vielä vähän sivuttain otettu kuva koko komeudesta. Kohotin sydämen kohotarrapaloilla, jotta sain vähän lisää kerroksellisuutta.

Here is a photo taken from the side so you'll see the dimensions a bit better. I used some 3D foam pads under the heart for added dimension.

Kirjekuoren sijaan tein kortille laatikon, kun paksuutta oli sen verran ja kortin piti selvitä lentomatkasta kunnialla. Taittelin laatikon valkeasta kartongista ja kannen samasta ruskeasta paperista, jota käytin muutenkin. Paperi on melko paksua, joten toimii tämmöisen matalan laatikon kantena. Leikkasin kanteen aukon, jonka peitin piirtoheitinkalvolla, jotta siitä näkyy läpi. Boksi pysyy kiinni samalla leveällä nauhalla, jota käytin kortissa ja tein siihenkin koristeeksi tekstisydämen. Nauha menee boksin ympärille pujottamalla.

Instead of an envelope I made a box for the card as the card was quite thick and it needed to survive a trip by airplane in my luggage. I made the box out of white cardstock and the lid with the same brown paper as in the card. Since the paper is pretty thick it works in a lid, which is not that big and thick. I cut a hole and used some see-through plastic to cover it so you'll see the card through it. I used the same wide ribbon as in the card to close the box and added yet another heart as decoration. The ribbon is made as a loop so you don't need to tie it.
