Lisää äitienpäiväkortteja

Tein tänä vuonna äitienpäiväkortteja pari lisääkin tuolla vähän hempeämmällä, naisellisella teemalla. Omalle äidilleni tekemäni kortin näet täältä: Äitienpäivänä.

This year I made several cards with soft pastel colours and feminine 3D images. The one I made for my mum is here: Äitienpäivänä.

Tässä kortissa taustalla on sinistä kopiopaperia sekä JK Primecon kuviopaperia. 3D kuva sekä "Just For You" -tägi on Papermanian Bellisima-sarjaa. Lisukkeena harmaata pitsiä, pitsipaperia sekä puolihelmiä.

In this card I used some blue printing paper and DP by JK Primeco. 3D image and the "Just For You" tag are by Papermania/Bellisima. In addition some lace, doily and flat pearls.

Tässä toisessa kortissa kuviopaperi on jälleen JK Primecon ja kuva sekä tekstileike on Papermanian Bellisima-sarjaa. Lisukkeena pitsipaperia. Kohotin tekstileikkeen 3D tarrapaloilla, niin sain korttiin vähän lisää kolmiulotteisuutta.

This second card has again DP by JK Primeco and the image and tag by Papermania/Bellisima. In addition a doily and the tag is attached with 3D foam pads for added dimension.

Äitienpäivänä

Suomessa juhlitaan äitienpäivää, mutta itse en valitettavasti päässyt tänä viikonloppuna äitini luokse. Paketti ja kortti onneksi löysivät perille jo etukäteen.

Tämä kortti on hyvin pelkistetty, mutta tuo upea iso mekkokuva ei mielestäni kaipaa mitään ylimääräistä, kun täyttää kortin jo muutenkin. Arvelin myös, että äitini tykkäisi tästä kortista tämmöisenään ja oikeassa olin. Tässä sekä kuviopaperi että 3D kuva ovat Papermanian Bellisima-sarjaa.

We are celebrating Mother's Day in Finland today, but unfortunately I didn't have the possibility to travel to see my mum this weekend. Luckily the package and the card I sent her reached her on time. This card is really simple one, but I thought that this gorgeous big dress image doesn't need anything extra. Both the DP and the 3D image are by Papermania/Bellisima.

Merihenkistä äitienpäivää!

Myöhäinen postaus, mutta vielä ehtii: hyvää äitienpäivää kaikille äideille!

Tämä merihenkinen kortti matkasi anopille. Kuva on Delicious Doodlesin upea maisema "Sunset at Sea", jonka väritin puuväreillä. Kerrostukseen käytin tummansinistä kartonkia. Kuviopaperi on Papermanian Ahoy There -paperikosta. Lisukkeena tietokoneella kirjoitettu teksti, nauhaa ja rusetti.

I know this is a late post, but Happy Mother's Day! This card went to my mother-in-law. The image is beautiful landscape "Sunset at Sea" by Delicious Doodles and coloured with pencils. I used some DP by Papermania's Ahoy There stack and dark blue cardstock for layering. In addition a text typed with computer and some ribbon and a bow. The text says "For Mum" in Finnish.

Äitienpäiväksi

Äitienpäivä lähestyy, joten tässä yksi tuohon päivään sopiva hempeä kortti.

Kuva on The East Windin suloinen "Aurora cabbage butterflies", joka tuli The East Windin uutiskirjeen mukana.  Väritin kuvan ProMarkereilla. Tietokone näyttää harmillisesti syövän kuvan varjostukset, oikeassa elämässä mekon valot ja varjot näkyvät selvemmin... :( Ressasin kuvan reunat saksilla ja mustetin Distress Inkin sävyllä Tea dye. Saman käsittelyn sai myös silppulaatikosta löytynyt kuviopaperi. Kerrostukseen käytin vihreää, käsintehtyä paperia ja tekstin kirjoitin tietokoneella. Lisukkeena pitsiä, ProMarkereilla väritettyjä paperikukkia sekä Liquid Pearlsia.

Mother's Day is here soon, so here is one card for that occasion. The image is sweet "Aurora cabbage butterflies" by The East Wind and it was freebie that came with the monthly newsletter. I coloured the image with ProMarkers and although I really tried to get some shades in the dress, the computer seems to "eat" all the shading. In real life the dress looks better. I distressed the edges of the image and DP with scissors and inked them with Distress Ink "Tea dye". The DP is from my scraps box. I used some green, handmade paper for layering and typed the text ("Happy Mother's Day" in Finnish) with computer. In addition I used some lace, paper flowers coloured with ProMarkers and some Liquid Pearls.

Keväisiä värejä äidille

Kävin ohikulkumatkalla shoppailemassa Kuopion Askartelukulmassa viime viikolla ja löysin vihdoin ja viimein etsimäni fine line -kärjet ProMarkereihin! *tuuletus* Siinä samalla ostoskassiin päätyi kyllä yhtä sun toista muutakin, muun muassa Spellbindersin perhosstanssit, joilla oli pakko päästä leikkimään heti, kun pääsin kotiin.

Meillä täällä Suomessahan äitienpäivä on vasta toukokuussa, mutta nyt on ainakin yksi kortti hyvissä ajoin valmiina. :) Joissain maissa äitienpäivä kuitenkin meni jo ja sen tiimoilta moni blogi oli täynnä äitienpäiväaskarteluja, joten idea lähti sen takia suuntaamaan tuohon teemaan. Taustalla on vihreää kartonkia, päällä keltaista kopiopaperia sekä palanen kuviopaperia. Tekstin kasasin keltaiselle paperille ääriviivatarrakirjaimista. Lisukkeena kakkupaperilasinalunen, ProMarkereilla väritettyjä paperikukkia, vähän tarrablingejä sekä vihreästä helmiäiskartongista ja keltaisesta kopiopaperista stanssatut perhoset. Kaikki paperit ja kartongit on kaivettu silppulaatikon kätköistä, joten operaatio silppulaatikon tyhjennys edistyy. :) Liimasin perhoset kasaan vain vartalon kohdalta, joten siipiin tuli vähän kolmiulotteisuutta. Keltaisen perhosen kuorrutin lisäksi Sticklessillä (Diamond), niin sain vähän lisäblingiä korttiin.

I poped into a craft store Askartelukulma in Kuopio last week (few hundred kilometres from where I live, but I was in the neighbourhood) and finally found the fine line tips for my ProMarkers. I've been looking for them for ages and probably would have got them online so much easier, but hey, now I have plenty of them. :) As it happens, I did buy some other stuff too - like these buttefly dies by Spellbinders, which I just had to test immediately when I got home.

Here in Finland we celebrate Mother's Day in May, but I know that some countries had it already and therefore various blogs were filled with crafts related to Mother's Day. That gave me the idea for this card and hey, now I have one ready for May. :) I used some green cardstock on the background, layered yellow copy paper on top of it and then a piece of DP.  In addition I used a doily, paper flowers coloured with ProMarkers, some glittery blings and butterflies cut out of green pearlscent cardstock and yellow copy paper. All the papers and cardstocks are from my scraps box, so my Operation Empty that Scraps Box is moving forward. :) I glued the butterflies together only from their bodies so I got bit of 3D effect for the wings. I added plenty of Stickless (Diamond) on the yellow butterfly for additional bling. The text says "To Mum" in Finnish and I used some peel of sticker letters to put it together.

Isoäidin tilkkutäkki

Vielä yksi hyvin, hyvin simppeli äitienpäiväkortti - tekstitkin on sisällä, mistä ei tietty tullut kuvaa...

Hyödynsin silppulaatikon sisuksia ja leikkelin paria erilaista kukkapaperia 2,5cm*2,5cm kokoisiksi paloiksi. Sommittelu violetille korttipohjalle ja se oli siinä. Sisäpuolella lukee hopeisella ääriviivatarralla "Isoäidille" ja kulmissa on ääriviivatarraruusut.

One more, super simple Mother's Day card. I used contents of my scraps box and cut couple of different flower papers into 2,5cm*2,5cm pieces. I laid them on lilac card base and that was it. Inside the card I have a text "Isoäidille" (for Grandma in Finnish) and some sticker roses in the corners. Unfortunately I didn't take any photo from the inside before sending this...

Puutarhuriäidille

Oikein hyvää äitienpäivää kaikille äideille! Tässä puutarhuriäidille tehty kortti.

Vihreät paperit ovat silppulaatikosta, mutta olivat niin isoina paloina, että sain hyvin rakennettua näin ison pinnan. Tuossa vaaleammassa, lehtikuosisessa paperissa on vähän glitteriä paikoitellen - näkyy tuossa oikeassa reunassa olevassa stanssatussa palassa jos tarkkaan katsoo. Kuva on ihanainen Wellington - valmis embossattu tarrakuva. Lisukkeena nauhaa, rusetti ja ääriviivatarra.

Happy Mother's Day to all mums! Here is a card for a gardener mum. The design papers are from my scraps box, but luckily they were big enough so I managed to built a big, whole background. The lighter one has some glitter in the paper - you can maybe see it on the die cut piece on the right side if you take a close look. The image is lovely Wellington topper. In addition just some ribbon, bow and text sticker saying "to mum" in Finnish.

Pupuneidin lentävä äitienpäivätoivotus

Äitienpäivä lähestyy ja kortteja on tullut tehtailtua sitä varten muutama. Ensimmäisen äitienpäiväkortin tein jo maaliskuussa, mutta sen jälkeen on tullut tehtyä vielä muutama lisää. Tässä niistä yksi.

Mummulle syntyi kortti keltaisesta korttipohjasta, Michele R Designsin vaaleanpunaruutuisesta digipaperista ja Somebunny to Love -setin ilmapallolla lentelevästä pupuneidistä. Leimakuva on väritetty akvarellipuuväreillä ja säiliösiveltimellä, lisukkeena kuvassa hieman Liquid Pearlsia. Kuva ja sen tausta on stanssattu Nellie Snellenin ympyrästansseilla - jotenkin tähän ilmapallokuvaan sopi tuo pyöreä muoto niin kivasti. :) Teksti on kirjoitettu sabloonan läpi ja tekstiblokin reunat mustetettu Distress Ink -musteen sävyllä Walnut Stain. Oikeasti tuo kartonginpala on ihan suora mutta muste tekee näköjään kuvassa tepposet... Paperikukat on värjätty ProMarkereilla ja kukkien keskustoina on Liquid Pearlsia.

Mothers' Day is approaching here in Finland so I've made a few cards for that occasion. The first one I made already in March, but I've made couple more after that. Here's one of them. Grandma will have a card in yellow with Michele R Design's pink digi paper and Somebunny to Love stamp set's lovely bunny girl, who's flying with balloon. I coloured the image with watercolor pencils and added some Liquid Pearls around the image. I die cut the image and the orange paper used for matting with Nellie Snellens' circle die cuts - somehow I felt that the round shape fits perfectly with this image with balloon. :) The text says "For grandma" in Finnish and I've wrote it using sablon. I used Distress Ink shade Walnut Stain to ink the edges and it seems that the ink makes the text block look everything but straight... I coloured the paper flowers with ProMarkers and added Liquid Pearls to the centres.
