Kettukortti

Tämä kortti syntyi pöydällä pyörineen kettukoristeen inspiroimana.

Päätin pitää kortin hyvin simppelinä, leikittelin ainoastaan vähän kuviopapereilla. Kuviopaperit on Papermanian Mr. Mister -lehtiöstä ja kerrostin ne kaikki tummanruskealla kartongilla. Pahvinen kettu pääsi sitten kortin pääosaan.

This card was inspired by the fox, which was just laying around on my desk. I decided to keep it very simple, just playing around with the design papers. The DPs are from Mr. Mister Stack by Papermania and I used really dark brown cardstock for layering. The fox is a card topper, which got the main role in this card.

Kalakortti

60-vuotiaan kalamiehen kortissa oli luonnollisesti kalastusteemaa ja liekö sieltä jäänyt jotenkin tämä teema päälle. :) Tällä kertaa kortin pääosaan tosin pääsi ihan ne itse eväkkäät.

Kalakuva on Reprintin arkista, jossa on useita meriteemaisia kuvia. Niitä tulossa varmaan lähitulevaisuudessa lisää tänne blogiinkin. Taustan kuviopaperi on Pion Designsin, kerrostukseen käytin persikkaista kartonkia (en ole tuosta väristä ihan varma, kun on jotenkin niin hassu väliväri). Lisukkeena vähän verkkonauhaa, nappeja sekä Marianne Designsin stansseilla stanssattuja simpukoita. Kuva on kohotettu pohjasta 1,5mm 3D tarrapaloilla.

There was a fishing theme in the card that I made for 60 year's celebrations of a relative who loves to fish. Somehow that theme still facinates me so here's another card with fish theme - this time though the fishes have the actual main role in the card. :) The image is from a Reprint sheet, which has several maritime themed images. I will probably share few others in the near future too as they are all so facinating to create with. The DP is by Pion Designs and I used some peach cardstock (I'm not sure of the actual color, it looks so in between every colour) cardstock for layering. In addition some net ribbon, buttons and sea shells cut with Marianne Designs die. The image is attached with 1,5mm 3D foam pads for added dimension.

Kesä kaupungissa ruskean sävyissä

Tämän kortin värimaailma syntyi taas vähän "vahingossa" kuvan sanelemana. En tiedä miksi, mutta jostain syystä tuo kuva puhutteli minua ruskeilla sävyillä, joten päätin tehdä sitten melko yksivärisen kortin hyödyntäen toki ruskean eri sävyjä.

Kuva on The East Windin "Sassy Summer fashion" ja se tuli kuukauden uutiskirjeessä ilmaiskuvana. Väritin kuvan ProMarkereilla ja leikkasin irti ääriviivoja myöten. Taustan kuviopaperi on niin vanhaa, etten edes muista milloin olen sen ostanut, mutta irtoarkkina se on kaupasta kotiin tullut. Kerrostukseen käytin harmaata kartonkia. Sizzixin picture wheel -stanssilla leikattu kuvio on odotellut jo hyvän aikaa valmiiksi mustetettuna silppulaatikossa - nyt pääsi vihdoin sekin hyötykäyttöön. Nauha on Crafty Ribbonsin ja se on ihan upouusi. Voitin joku aika sitten Crafty Ribbonsin haasteessa lahjakortin heidän nettikauppaan ja shoppailin sitten ihan antaumuksella nauhoja. :) Tässä nyt ensimmäinen valmiiseen työhön asti päätynyt pätkä.

This card is again one of those where the image told me what to do. :) I don't know why but this image just wanted to become all brown so I decided to go with monochrome theme in the whole card. The image is "Sassy Summer Fashion" by The East Wind and it was a freebie with TEW newsletter. I coloured her with ProMarkers and fussy cut. The DP is so old that I can't even remember buying it, but it has been as a separate sheet so not from any stack. I used some grey cardstock from my stash for layering. The picture wheel die cut by Sizzix has been waiting quite some time to be placed on a finished project, so now it finally found its place. The ribbon on the other hand is brand new. It's by Crafty Ribbons and I got it when I was random winner at Crafty Ribbon Challenge and I got a gift voucher for their store. And oh boy, I got some ribbons... :) This is now the first one to end up in a finalised project.

Ylioppilaskortteja

Tänä viikonloppuna on juhlittu ylioppilaita ympäri maan, mutta omalle kohdalle ei sattunut tänä vuonna yksiäkään ylppäreitä. Onneksi ystävällä juhlia oli peräti kolmet, joten sain hyvän syyn tehdä muutaman kortin, kun hän niitä minulta pyysi.

This weekend has seen many graduation celebrations all over the country. I didn't have any parties to go, but my friend had three different graduation parties so I got a good excuse to make some graduation cards when she asked me.

Tässä ensimmäisessä kortissa käytin Reprintin kuviopaperia, jonka kerrostin mustalla kartongilla. Ylioppilaslakki on ääriviivatarra, jonka liimasin valkoiselle paksulle paperille ja leikkasin ääriviivoja myöten irti. Lyyra on väritetty kultaisella geelikynällä. Myös teksti on ääriviivatarra. Lisukkeena mustaa ja kultaista nauhaa. Kohotin lakin ja kuviopaperin 3D tarrapaloilla, jotta sain vähän lisää kerroksellisuutta korttiin.

In this first card I used DP by Reprint, which I layered with black cardstock. The Finnish graduation cap is peel-off sticker, which I attached on thick white paper and fussy cut. I used golden gel pen to mark the golden mark we have on the caps. The text says "Congratulations" in Finnish and is also a peel-off sticker. In addition some black and golden ribbons. I used 3D foam pads to attach the cap and the DP for additional dimension.

Tässä toisessa kortissa on StudioLightin kuviopaperi - tuo mittari-suikale on saman kuviopaperin toiselta puolelta. Lisukkeena muovista Sizzixin stanssilla leikattu tägi, eko-kartongista leikattu tägirengas sekä haaraniitti. Teksti ja lakki on jälleen ääriviivatarroja.

This second card is a bit more masculine one. The DP is by StudioLight - also the decorative strip is from the same sheet. In addition a tag cut with Sizzix die out of plastic, a tag ring cut out of eco cardstock and a brad as an additional decoration. The text is again in Finnish and it means "to a graduate" (specifically to a graduate from upper secondary school). The cap is made the same way as above.

Kolmas kortti on sitten superkeväinen. Koivu-paperi on JK Primecon ja kerrostukseen käytin raikkaan vihreää kartonkia. Lisukkeena vihreää satiininauhaa. Tekstin ja lakin kiinnitin erilliselle neliönmalliselle palalle tuota kuviopaperia, kerrostin samalla vihreällä kartongilla kuin taustankin ja kohotin taas 3D tarrapaloilla taustasta.

This third card is just screaming "spring". The birch DP is by JK Primeco and I used some bright green cardstock for layering. In addition some green satin ribbon. The text says again "Congratulations" and I attached the text and the cap on a smaller piece of the DP and layered with same green cardstock as I used on the background. I then attached the square with 3D foam pads for additional dimension.

Aurinkoista tunnelmaa on toukokuu tulvillaan

Tänään mennään oikein aurinkoisissa tunnelmissa. Toukokuu on ollut tähän asti jotenkin niin ihanan aurinkoinen ja kesäinen, että pitihän tuon fiiliksen päästä korttiin asti.

Kuva on Art by MiRanin "Delightful Daphne" ja se on Art by Miranin kuukauden Facebook Progressive -haasteessa kuvana. Sain kuvan ilmaiseksi, koska osallistuin haasteeseen myös edellisessä kuussa. Väritin kuvan ProMarkereilla ja mustetin taustan Distress Inkin sävyllä "tea dye". Kuviopaperi on Studio Lightin lehtiöstä ja kerrostukseen käytin vihreää kartonkia. Lisukkeena on valkoista ja vihreää nauhaa, pitsipaperia sekä kullanoransseja blingejä.

Tämän kuvan väritys ei muuten mennyt ihan by the book, vaikka lopputulokseen olenkin ihan suht tyytyväinen. Tyttösen iho oli alunperin huomattavasti vaaleampi, mutta yrittäessäni tehdä söpöä suuta sain kuvasta sen näköisen kuin pikkutyttö olisi käynyt salaa äidin huulipunakätköllä... Paikatakseni tilanteen otin astetta tummemmat markerit käyttöön ja kah, neitonen sai vähän brunaa pintaan. :D

Today's card is full of sunshine! The image is "Delightful Daphne" by Art by MiRan and it's this month's image at the ABM Facebook Progressive challenge. I got this image for free as I participated the challenge also last month.  I coloured her with ProMarkers and inked the background with Distress Ink "tea dye". The DP is by Studio Light and I used some light green cardstock for layering. In addition some white and green ribbons, doily and some golden-orange blings.

Colouring this image didn't quite go as planned - although I'm quite happy with the end-result. Originally her skin was quite fair, but when I was drawing a cute little mouth for her I managed to make her look like a little girl whose been playing with mum's lipstick... To fix the situation I grabbed some darker markers and gave her a proper tan. :)

Watching stars

Tämä kortti syntyi vähän vahingossa. Olin aloittanut kuvan värittämisen, mutta se oli jäänyt kesken. Tein taustaa sitten ihan toiseen korttiin, mutta yhtäkkiä tuntui, että se sopisikin paremmin tämän kuvan kaveriksi.

Kuva on The East Windin "Aurora Forget Me Not" ja voitin sen joku aika sitten The East Windin haasteesta. Väritin kuvan ProMarkereilla ja luonnossa siinä kyllä näkyy vähän paremmin varjostuksiakin, mutta näköjään kuvaus söi kaiken pois... Tausta on tummansinistä kartonkia, jonka kuorrutin kauttaaltaan Sticklesillä (Star Dust). Kuten sanoin, niin taustan piti ensin mennä toiseen korttiin, mutta sitten se jotenkin tuntuikin sopivan paremmin tähän Auroran taustalle ja nimenomaan tähtitaivaaksi. Lisukkeeksi liimailin vähän konfettitähtiä ja voilá se oli siinä. Kimallusta on vaikka muille jakaa, mutta kuitenkin kortti on melko simppeli. Tykkään tästä itse ihan hirmuisesti. :)

This card was born by accident. I had started to colour this "Aurora Forget Me Not" image by The East Wind already earlier, but for some reason I hadn't finished her. Then I started to make this background for another card, but when it had dried I just knew I need to make it a night sky full of stars and pair with this image, which I won some time ago from The East Wind challenge. The background is blue cardstock covered with Stickles (Star Dust). The image is coloured with ProMarkers (IRL you can actually see some shading in the image too, but for some reason photographing faded all away) and fussy cut. In addition just some confetti stars and voilá that was it. There's lots of sparkle in this card, but it's otherwise fairly simple. I just love this! :)

Kisu lasissa

Tänään vuorossa on synttärikortti, jonka tein ystävälleni. Alunperin ajattelin jotain viiniin liittyvää kuvaa, mutta kun sellaista ei omista kätköistä löytynyt ja kortin kanssa tuli vähän kiirus, niin päätin, että drinkkilasi passaa aivan yhtä hyvin.

Olen saanut leimasimen joskus ystävältäni, mutta koskaan ennen en ole sitä vielä käyttänyt. Leimasin kuvan Mementon mustalla musteella, väritin ProMarkereilla ja kehystin violetilla kartongilla. Kuviopaperi on Papermanian, teksti FinnStamperin. Lisukkeen sinistä satiininauhaa ja violetti-hopeista organsanauhaa.

Today's card is a birthday card I made for a friend. My original idea was to have an image with something to do with wine, but since I didn't have such and I was in a hurry when making this, I decided to go with this drink glass... I've got this stamp from another friend already ages ago, but I've never used it before. I stamped the image using Mememto's ink, coloured the image with ProMarkers and layered with purple cardstock. The DP is by Papermania and the text (Congratulations in Finnish) is by FinnStamper. In addition just some ribbons.

Lokoisaa lepäilyä

Tänään mennään lokoisan lepäilyn teemalla ihanan vihreän vehreässä ympäristössä. Valoisa aika lisääntyy koko ajan, joten toivon mukaan pian myös lämpötilat muuttuvat siihen suuntaan, että tuollaisesta vihreydestä pääsee nauttimaan muuallakin kuin askartelupöydän ääressä...

Kuva on suloinen The East Windin "Aurora Siesta II", jonka sain joku aika sitten, kun olin DT suosikki The East Windin haasteessa. Väritin kuvan taas tuttuun tapaan ProMarkereilla. Taustan kuviopaperi on JK Primecon ja kerrostukseen käytin vihreää kartonkia. Lisukkeena on suikale kuitukangasta sekä pätkä washiteippiä, muuten jätin koristeet pois.

Today it's all about relaxing in a lush environment. Spring is getting closer, so I hope that soon we can enjoy lush green environment also outside the craft room... The image is sweet "Aurora Siesta II" by The East Wind and I got it when I was chosen as DT favourite in The East Wind challenge. I coloured her with ProMarkers. The DP is by JK Primeco and I used some green cardstock for layering. In addition some non-woven fabric and some washi tape. However, I left out all the other embellies as I thought this card didn't need any.
