Love tag

No niinhän siinä kävi, että toinenkin Oddballin tyttönen päätyi tägiin samalla tavoin, kuin ensimmäinen... :)

So, I made this tag some time ago, as Oddball image was just screaming to be placed on a tag. Eventually another Oddball image ended up in a tag as well. :)

Tässä tägissä värimaailma ja tunnelma on kuitenkin vähän herkempi kuin ensimmäisessä, vaikka tässäkin on runsaasti harmaata. Tägin pohjana on jälleen ekokartonki, jonka yläkulmat leikkasin saksilla ja reiän stanssasin Nellie Snellenin pikkuympyrällä. Taustan harmaa kuviopaperi on Papermanian, vaaleanpunainen kirsikankukkapaperi on Michele R. Designsin digipaperi ja Love-tekstin alla oleva kuviopaperi on silppulaatikosta. Stanssasin tekstin Marianne Designsin stanssilla ja perhosen Spellbindersin stanssilla harmaasta ja vaaleanpunaisesta kartongista. Muuten lisukkeena on washiteippiä, pitsiä, nappeja, ProMarkerilla väritetty paperikukka, haaraniitti, pieni hakaneula, kukkariipus sekä nauhaa.

In this tag the colours and the atmosphere are a bit more soft and delicate than in the first one - although this one has plenty of grey too. I used eco cardstock as the base for the tag, cutting the top corners with scissors and cutting the top hole with Nellie Snellen's tiny circle die. The grey DP on the background is by Papermania and the pink cherry blossom DP is a digi paper by Michele R. Designs. The grey DP under LOVE text is from my scraps box. I cut the text with Marianne Designs die and the butterfly with Spellbinders die out of grey and pink cardstocks. In addition I used washi tape, lace, buttons, paper flower coloured with ProMarkers, brad, tiny safety pin, flower charm and some ribbon.

Kuva on siis Oddballin, Sissy & Suze Sleeps Alot #40B. Väritin kuvan ProMarkereilla ja mustetin Distress Inkin sävyllä "Iced Spruce". Ressasin vähän kuvan reunoja ennen mustettamista.

The image is Sissy & Suze Sleeps Alot #40B by OddballArtCo. I coloured her with ProMarkers and inked the background with Distress Ink "Iced Spruce". I distressed the edges lightly with scissors before inking.

Tässä näkyy vielä vähän paremmin nuo kuviopaperit sekä kukkariipus, jonka kiinnitin pienellä hakaneulalla nauhan tyveen. Nauha on muuten kierrätetty tummasta paidasta - tuo on sitä ohutta nauhaa, jota on useissa paidoissa kaula-aukon sisäpuolella pitämässä niitä paremmin henkarilla.

Here you can see the DPs a bit better. Also the charm is better visible in this photo, as well as the tiny safety pin I used to attach the charm in the tag. The ribbon is recycled from a shirt - it's that narrow ribbon they use in the shirts' necklines to keep them on hangers.

Tägi Oddballin tytöllä

En ole pahemmin harrastanut tägien tekoa, mutta nyt tämä kuva jostain syystä halusi päätyä tägiin. Voitin keväällä Come and Get It Challenges -haasteesta Oddballin kuvia ja nyt pääsi siis ensimmäinen Oddballin kuva väritettäväksi.

Tägin tein ekokartongista niin, että piirsin kulmat Sizzixin suurinta Tickets-stanssia hyväksikäyttäen ja leikkasin saksilla pois. Näin sain tägin suuremmaksi ja alalaidan suoraksi, joten en halunnut siksi käyttää stanssia muuten kuin yläosan mallina. Tein tägiin reiän Nellie Snellenin ympyrästanssisarjan pienimmällä stanssilla. Taustalla käytin silppulaatikosta löytynyttä tiiliseinäpaperia sekä paria erilaista washiteippiä. Tuo harmaa Vanilla-kuviopaperinpalanen on Papermanian Chronology-lehtiöstä. Väritin Big Eye Girl - Cassidey #19 -kuvan ihan ensimmäisenä, sillä jotenkin kuva huusi näitä värejä, joten sitten kun aloin kasaamaan tägiä, niin olinkin ihmeissäni tuon lilan ja tumman violetin kanssa. Lopulta löysin lilaa kartonkia, jota käytin kuvan ja tekstin kehystämiseen sekä tägireiän tehosteena. Kukan sekä kuvan alta pilkistävän stanssikoristeen väritin sitten ihan ProMarkereilla, jotta sain oikeat sävyt tehosteisiin. Onnea-teksti on FinnStamperin. Lisukkeena ääriviivatarraperhonen sekä vähän ääriviivatarrakiehkuroita ja pisteitä, muutama haaraniitti, nauhaa sekä kukkariipus, jonka kiinnitin tuollaisella hauskan mallisella hakaneulalla.

Kuvan väritin ProMarkereilla ja mustetin DistressInkin sävyllä "vintage photo". Ressasin reunoja vähän saksilla ennen mustettamista. Ja vaikka kuvassa ehkä näyttää, että tytön silmät on värittämättä, niin ne on kyllä oikeasti väritetty samalla vaalean lilalla kuin paitakin, mutta jätin ne tarkoituksella hyvin vaaleiksi.

Nautin kyllä tämän tägin tekemisestä todella paljon ja olen lopputulokseen erittäin tyytyväinen. Saa nähdä, että mitä niille kahdelle muulle Oddball-kuvalla käy - päätyvätkin nekin tägiin vai perinteisemmin korttiin...

I haven't made many tags, but this image, Big Eye Girl - Cassidey #19 by Oddball was just screaming to be placed on a tag instead of a card... And I'm just sucker for great digi images that tell me how they want to be made, so here you go. I won some Oddball images at Come and Get It Challenges during last spring, but these images haven't found their places on my creations until now. Like said, the image wanted to be placed on a tag - and also the colour scheme was "picked by the image" so this became grey with a touch of lilac and violet. I made the tag out of eco cardstock by cutting the top corners with scissors after using Sizzix Tickets die as a model and tracing the corners with a pencil... I used Nellie Snellen's tiny circle die to cut the hole on the top for the ribbon.

The brick wall DP on the background is from my scraps box. In addition I used two different washi tapes on the background, though they are not that well visible in the photos...  The "Vanilla" piece of DP is by Papermania, from their Chronology stack. I coloured the image with ProMarkers and inked with DistressInk "vintage photo". As the image "decided" the colour scheme, I coloured it first and then was struggling with the lilac and violet in the rest of the tag. Finally I found a piece of lilac cardstock from my scraps box and I used that for the layering of image and text as well as for highlighting the ribbon hole. The flower and the die cut embellishment in dark violet is coloured with ProMarkers to get the right shades of colours. The text says "Congratulations" in Finnish and is a stamp by FinnStampers. In addition I used some brads, peel-off butterfly sticker and some sticker swirls and dots. I also used a flower charm, which I attached with this funny looking safety pin.

I enjoyed making this tag a LOT and I'm really happy how it turned out. :) We'll see what happens with the other two Oddball images - do they end up in tags too or traditionally in cards...
