Harmaa kirjanmerkki tujauksella vihreää

Tästä ei pitänyt tulla kirjanmerkki. Piti tehdä shaker-kortti yhteen haasteeseen, mutta shaker-idea kompuroi glitteriin (note to self: glitteri ei toimi kalvojen välissä - tarttuu kiinni piirtoheitinkalvoon). Ajattelin tehdä sitten ihan tavallisen kortin, mutta kun etsin kerrostukseen tumman harmaata kartonkia, niin ei löytynyt kuin suikale tuollaista vähän jämäkämpää tavaraa. Mallailin kuvaa sitten kartongin kanssa ja totesin, että sehän toimisi kirjanmerkkinä...

This was not supposed to be a bookmark. I was planning to make a shaker card for a challenge, but the shaker idea was a disaster due to glitter (note to self: glitter doesn't work in between transparency film, it just sticks to it and doesn't shake...). So then I thought I'll make a normal card, but when I was going through my stash to find dark grey cardstock for layering, I was only able to find a strip of quite thick cardstock. I was then trying the image with the cardstock and realised that it could actually work as a bookmark...

Kuva on The East Windin "Aurora Marilyn" ja se tuli elokuun ilmaiskuvana TEW:n uutiskirjeessä. Kuviopaperi on Papermanian, tekstileima Fiskarsin. Lisukkeena hopeisia ääriviivatarroja sekä ProMarkerilla värjätty nauha. Reiän sekä vihreän reunuksen reiälle stanssasin Nellie Snellenin pienillä ympyrästansseilla.

The image is "Aurora Marilyn" by The East Wind and it was an August freebie with TEW newsletter. The DP is by Papermania and the sentiment is a stamp by Fiskars. In addition some silver peel off stickers and a ribbon coloured with ProMarkers. The hole and the green circle around it is cut with tiny Nellie Snellen dies.

Kuvan väritin ProMarkereilla ja leikkasin ääriviivoja myöten irti. Mietin jo hetken, että teen ihoa lukuunottamatta kuvasta täysin harmaan, mutta päädyin sitten kuitenkin tekemään hiuksista ruskea ja silmistä vihreät. Ja sitten halusin pienen tujauksen väriä muutenkin, joten reunustin kuvan vihreällä.

I coloured the image with ProMarkers and fussy cut it. I was thinking of making it all grey - except for the skin, but decided to colour the hair in brown after all and use green for her eyes. And then I wanted to have a little highlight colour after all, so I went around the edges with green.
