Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenge is back! DT post

I'm so excited! After a break Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenge is back! We are now a monthly challenge - new theme starts always on the 10th. We have also lots of amazing new designers on board. 

The theme for the first challenge is "Try Something New". I have to admit that I went with a bit boring choice and just used some new papers and embellies. My excuse is that this card goes to my dad and from the experience I know that a simple card, which doesn't have fancy folds or strange opening mechanisms, works best for him.

My image is Vintage Auto by Doodle Pantry, who is one of our sponsors and generously provided me with this image. The sentiment is from the same set with the image and cut with circle die by Nellie Snellen. I coloured the image with ProMarkers and inked both the image and the sentiment with Distress Ink "Iced Spruce". I used some dark green cardstock for layering (actually that's new one too - and something I don't think I've ever used). The papers are from Mr. Mister stack by Papermania. In addition some brads and silver star stickers, which I attached on the green cardstock to get the centers. The sentiment is attached with 3D foam pads for added dimension.

Inside the card I used another sentiment from the Vintage Auto set. I cut it with circle die and layered with the same dark green cardstock that I used on the front cover.

Olen aivan innoissani, Open-Minded Crafting Fun -haaste käynnistyi taas tauon jälkeen. Nyt on siirrytty kuukausihaasteeksi, uusi haaste aukeaa aina joka kuun 10. päivä. Mukana on myös paljon uusia, upeita DT jäseniä.

Ensimmäisen haasteen aiheena on "Kokeile jotain uutta". Itse menin vähän tylsällä linjalla ja minun "uusi" on paperit ja tähtikoristeet. Päädyin kuitenkin tämmöiseen ratkaisuun, koska kortti menee isälleni ja kokemuksesta tiedän, että hän arvostaa enemmän simppeliä peruskorttia kuin monimutkaista avausmekanismia tai erikoisia taitoksia.
