Raikas "Freshman"

Pitkästä aikaa KennyK:n kuva kehissä. Tosin ennakkoon jo varoitan, että pääsin taas näiden makuun ja kohta tulee toinenkin työ KennyK:n kuvalla. ;)

Tämä kuva on KennyK:n "Freshman", joka on toukokuun ilmaiskuvana KennyK:n uutiskirjeen tilaajille. Väritin kuvan ProMarkereilla ja mustetin Distress Inkin sävyllä "tea dye". Stanssasin kuvan Sizzixin Tickets-sarjan stanssilla ja kerrostin kirkkaansinisellä kartongilla. Kuviopaperi löytyi silppulaatikosta, mutta luulen, että se on DCWV:n. Lisukkeena ProMarkerilla värjättyä nauhaa (sävytin hameessa ja kengissä käyttämäni tummansinisen pariksi) sekä sinisiä nappeja. Kohotin kuvan taustasta 3D tarrapaloilla, niin sain vähän kolmiulotteisuutta lisää.

Today's card is featuring KennyK image. I feel like I've been neglecting KennyK images, but now I'm again on fire and there's another project on my crafting table already waiting to be finished and photographed. ;) So the image is "Freshman" by KennyK and it's the May freebie for KennyK newsletter subscribers. I coloured her with ProMarkers and inked with Distress Ink "tea dye". I cut the image with Sizzix Tickets die and used some bright blue cardstock for layering. The DP is from my scraps box, but I think it's by DCWV. In addition some white ribbon - coloured with ProMarkers in dark blue, which I used also on her skirt and shoes. Also some blue buttons to finish the card. I attached the image with 3D foam pads for added dimension.

Nyt mennään melko pelkistetyllä linjalla ja kaksivärisellä värimaailmalla.

Kuva on jälleen The East Windin - tällä kertaa uutiskirjeessä ilmaiskuvana tullut "Fung La", jonka väritin ProMarkereilla ja leikkasin ääriviivoja myöten. Kuviopaperi on Studio Lightin ja kerrostukseen käytin harmaata kartonkia. Lisukkeena hopeanharmaata nauhaa sekä ääriviivatarrakirjaimista kasattu teksti.

Today's card is pretty simple with two colours only (if you don't count the skin & hair). The image is again by The East Wind - this time newsletter freebie called "Fung La". I coloured her with ProMarkers and fussy cut. The DP is by Studio Light and I used grey cardstock for layering. In addition some ribbon and text with peel-off stickers.

Tulikärpäsiä ja tunnelmaa

Vaikka illat ja yöt vain jatkavat valostumistaan, niin hetkeksi päätin siirtyä tunnelmoimaan alkusyksyn lämpimiin ja pimeisiin iltoihin tässä kortissa käyttämäni kuvan myötä.

Although the evenings and nights are just getting lighter here in Finland towards the summer, I decided to jump for a while to warm early autumn nights. With this image it was really easy to image that I was in the garden during a late august night...

Kuva on The East Windin upea "Lucy Loo Firefly" ja sain sen tässä alkuvuodesta, kun voitin The East Windin haasteen. Väritin kuvan ja taustan ProMarkereilla ja lopuksi lisäsin tulikärpäsiin hieman glittergeelikynää. Stanssasin kuvan Sizzixin Tickets-setin stanssilla. Kuviopaperi on DCWV:n The Tradewinds -lehtiöstä ja kerrostukseen käytin sinistä kartonkia. Lisukkeena pitsipaperia, ProMarkereillä värjättyjä kukkia, mustia sekä kirkkaita blingejä ja vähän Sticklesiä yhdessä kukassa.

The image is gorgeous "Lucy Loo Firefly" by The East Wind. I won it in The East Wind Challenge some time ago. I coloured the image with ProMarkers and added some glitter gel pen to the fireflies. I cut the image with Sizzix Tickets die and made the background with ProMarkers. The DP is by DCWV from their The Tradewinds stack and I used some dark blue cardstock for layering. In addition a doily, paper flowers coloured with ProMarkers, black and clear blings and some Stickles in one of the flowers.

Kortti on telinekortti ja sisäpuolella on sinisen kartongin lisäksi mustaa pitsiä sekä kultainen "helmi"tarranauha. Jätin kortin tarkoituksella tekstittä - tervehdyksen voi sitten lisätä tilanteen mukaan.

I made an easel card and in the inside of the card I used same blue cardstock as on the cover and in addition some black lace and golden "pearl" sticker. I left the card without any sentiment - that can be added afterwards when there's actually an occasion and/or receiver fot this card.

Tässä vielä lähikuvaa värityksestä, joka onnistui ihan kelvollisesti. :)

Here is a close-up of the colouring - I'm quite happy how it turned out. :)

Iloiset ja värikkäät terveiset

Tänään on vuorossa värien ilotulitusta. :)

Kuva on Bugaboon "4 square floral" ja se oli jokin aika sitten perjantain ilmaisukuvana Bugaboon nettisivuilla. Väritin kuvan kauttaaltaan ProMarkereilla, joilla värjäsin myös Sizzixin stanssilla tehdyt kukat. Tekstileima on FinnStamperin, joskin leimasin tekstin kahdelle riville. Myös tekstin taustan väritin ProMarkereilla. Kuviopaperi on Studio Lightin ja kerrostukseen käytin sinistä kartonkia. Kukkien keskustoina on ProMarkerilla värjätyt valkeat "maalitipat" ja lisukkeena on vähän mustia ääriviivatarroja.

Today's card is all about colours! The image is "4 square floral" by Bugaboo and it was Friday freebie on Bugaboo's website some time ago. I coloured the image with ProMarkers and used ProMarkers also on the background of the sentiment. The sentiment says "happy greetings" in Finnish and it's by FinnStamper. The DP is by Studio Light and I used some blue cardstock for layering. The flowers are cut with Sizzix die and coloured with ProMarkers. In addition some enamel dots (coloured with ProMarkers) and black peel-off sticker flowers.

Aurinkoista tunnelmaa on toukokuu tulvillaan

Tänään mennään oikein aurinkoisissa tunnelmissa. Toukokuu on ollut tähän asti jotenkin niin ihanan aurinkoinen ja kesäinen, että pitihän tuon fiiliksen päästä korttiin asti.

Kuva on Art by MiRanin "Delightful Daphne" ja se on Art by Miranin kuukauden Facebook Progressive -haasteessa kuvana. Sain kuvan ilmaiseksi, koska osallistuin haasteeseen myös edellisessä kuussa. Väritin kuvan ProMarkereilla ja mustetin taustan Distress Inkin sävyllä "tea dye". Kuviopaperi on Studio Lightin lehtiöstä ja kerrostukseen käytin vihreää kartonkia. Lisukkeena on valkoista ja vihreää nauhaa, pitsipaperia sekä kullanoransseja blingejä.

Tämän kuvan väritys ei muuten mennyt ihan by the book, vaikka lopputulokseen olenkin ihan suht tyytyväinen. Tyttösen iho oli alunperin huomattavasti vaaleampi, mutta yrittäessäni tehdä söpöä suuta sain kuvasta sen näköisen kuin pikkutyttö olisi käynyt salaa äidin huulipunakätköllä... Paikatakseni tilanteen otin astetta tummemmat markerit käyttöön ja kah, neitonen sai vähän brunaa pintaan. :D

Today's card is full of sunshine! The image is "Delightful Daphne" by Art by MiRan and it's this month's image at the ABM Facebook Progressive challenge. I got this image for free as I participated the challenge also last month.  I coloured her with ProMarkers and inked the background with Distress Ink "tea dye". The DP is by Studio Light and I used some light green cardstock for layering. In addition some white and green ribbons, doily and some golden-orange blings.

Colouring this image didn't quite go as planned - although I'm quite happy with the end-result. Originally her skin was quite fair, but when I was drawing a cute little mouth for her I managed to make her look like a little girl whose been playing with mum's lipstick... To fix the situation I grabbed some darker markers and gave her a proper tan. :)

Watching stars

Tämä kortti syntyi vähän vahingossa. Olin aloittanut kuvan värittämisen, mutta se oli jäänyt kesken. Tein taustaa sitten ihan toiseen korttiin, mutta yhtäkkiä tuntui, että se sopisikin paremmin tämän kuvan kaveriksi.

Kuva on The East Windin "Aurora Forget Me Not" ja voitin sen joku aika sitten The East Windin haasteesta. Väritin kuvan ProMarkereilla ja luonnossa siinä kyllä näkyy vähän paremmin varjostuksiakin, mutta näköjään kuvaus söi kaiken pois... Tausta on tummansinistä kartonkia, jonka kuorrutin kauttaaltaan Sticklesillä (Star Dust). Kuten sanoin, niin taustan piti ensin mennä toiseen korttiin, mutta sitten se jotenkin tuntuikin sopivan paremmin tähän Auroran taustalle ja nimenomaan tähtitaivaaksi. Lisukkeeksi liimailin vähän konfettitähtiä ja voilá se oli siinä. Kimallusta on vaikka muille jakaa, mutta kuitenkin kortti on melko simppeli. Tykkään tästä itse ihan hirmuisesti. :)

This card was born by accident. I had started to colour this "Aurora Forget Me Not" image by The East Wind already earlier, but for some reason I hadn't finished her. Then I started to make this background for another card, but when it had dried I just knew I need to make it a night sky full of stars and pair with this image, which I won some time ago from The East Wind challenge. The background is blue cardstock covered with Stickles (Star Dust). The image is coloured with ProMarkers (IRL you can actually see some shading in the image too, but for some reason photographing faded all away) and fussy cut. In addition just some confetti stars and voilá that was it. There's lots of sparkle in this card, but it's otherwise fairly simple. I just love this! :)

Tein tänä vuonna äitienpäiväkortteja pari lisääkin tuolla vähän hempeämmällä, naisellisella teemalla. Omalle äidilleni tekemäni kortin näet täältä: Äitienpäivänä.

This year I made several cards with soft pastel colours and feminine 3D images. The one I made for my mum is here: Äitienpäivänä.

Tässä kortissa taustalla on sinistä kopiopaperia sekä JK Primecon kuviopaperia. 3D kuva sekä "Just For You" -tägi on Papermanian Bellisima-sarjaa. Lisukkeena harmaata pitsiä, pitsipaperia sekä puolihelmiä.

In this card I used some blue printing paper and DP by JK Primeco. 3D image and the "Just For You" tag are by Papermania/Bellisima. In addition some lace, doily and flat pearls.

Tässä toisessa kortissa kuviopaperi on jälleen JK Primecon ja kuva sekä tekstileike on Papermanian Bellisima-sarjaa. Lisukkeena pitsipaperia. Kohotin tekstileikkeen 3D tarrapaloilla, niin sain korttiin vähän lisää kolmiulotteisuutta.

This second card has again DP by JK Primeco and the image and tag by Papermania/Bellisima. In addition a doily and the tag is attached with 3D foam pads for added dimension.
