Saanko skipata kotityöt?

Heipä hei rakkaat lukijat! Flunssa iski kyntensä allekirjoittaneeseen ihan todenteolla, joten nyt täytyy vain malttaa ottaa iisisti. Tämän kortin tein jo viikonloppuna, kun olin vielä terveiden kirjoissa, mutta en ehtinyt aiemmin postata.

Kuva ja teksti on Bugaboon "Crabby Cathy - housework", kuviopaperi Papermanian Mr. Mister -lehtiöstä. Lisukkeena washiteippiä sekä muutama ääriviivatarra (näkyvät vähän huonosti, mutta oikeassa alakulmassa on nappi, sormustin ja neula). Kerrostukseen käytin oranssia kartonkia. Kuvan väritin tällä kertaa kokonaan Copiceilla ja koska kokoelmani on vielä hyvin rajallinen, niin kortin värimaailma valikoitui sen mukaan, mitä Copiceja minulta löytyi.

Hello dear readers! I got a nasty flu, which is keeping me home at the moment, so I guess it's all about rest now. Luckily I made this card already last weekend, at the moment even crafting seems like a hard work... :/ Anyway, the image is "Crabby Cathy - housework" by Bugaboo and the DP by Papermania, from Mr. Mister stack. In addition some washi tape and couple of peel-off stickers (they are not that obviously visible in the image, but there are some in the bottom right corner). I used some orange cardstock for layering and coloured the image with Copics. Since my Copics collection is still very limited, the colour scheme for the card was defined by the colours I actually had in Copics.

Lisää luistimia

Postasin joku aika sitten pari korttia, joissa käytin Joy!:n luistinstanssia. Se stanssi on vaan niin ihana, että näitä kortteja tipahtelee nyt tänne blogiin sitten useampiakin. :)

Tässä siis luistimet ja lumihiutaleet on stanssattu valkeasta kartongista Joy!:n stansseilla. Taustalla on DesigneRPaper-lehtiön kuviopaperi kerrostettuna violetilla kartongilla ja lisukkeena violettia satiininauhaa. Melko simppelit ainekset, mutta koristeellisten stanssien ansiosta melkoisen koristeellinen kortti. :)

I posted sometime ago couple of cards with skates cut with Joy! die. That die is just so awesome that I will be sharing with you plenty of cards using it. :) So here the skates and the snowflakes are cut with Joy! dies. The DP on the background is from DesigneRPaper stack and I used some purple cardstock for layering. In addition just some purple ribbon. So fairly simple ingredients but thanks to decorative die cuts this is pretty decorative card. :)
 

Olet ajatuksissani

Voitin joku aika sitten Art by MiRanin haasteissa useamman digikuvan, joten niillä kuvilla on toki pitänyt päästä leikkimään. :) Yhden julkaisinkin jo kirjanmerkissä, tässä tulee toinen.

Kuva on siis Art by MiRanin "Afternoon Aileen". Väritin kuvan ProMarkereilla ja kerrostin luonnonvalkealla ja tummanruskealla kartongilla. Oranssi, raidallinen kuviopaperi on Papermanian Mr. Mister -lehtiöstä ja kerrostettu samaan tapaan kuin kuva. Teksti on Tim Holtzin leimasetistä ja leimattu luonnonvalkealle kartongille Distress Inkin sävyllä "vintage photo". Lisukkeena läpikuultavaa oranssehtavaa nauhaa sekä pari valmiiksi värjättyä paperikukkaa, joiden keskelle laitoin oranssinkultaisen blingin. Tekstin kohotin 3D tarrapaloilla pohjasta, niin sain vähän lisää kolmiulotteisuutta.

I won sometime ago several Art by MiRan images in ABM challenges so I've had lots of fun playing with those. I posted one of the won images already in my bookmark and here is another one. This image is "Afternoon Aileen" by Art by Miran and I coloured her with ProMarkers. I used some cream and dark brown cardstocks for layering both the image and the DP. The orange DP with stripes is from Mr. Mister stack by Papermania. The sentiment is a stamp by Tim Holtz and I stamped it on cream cardstock with Distress Ink "vintage photo". In addition some orange see-through ribbon and couple of ready-coloured paper flowers with a bling in the centre. I attached the sentiment with 3D foam pads for added dimension.

OMCF Challenge #9 "Halloween/Dress up" - DT post

Hello dear readers! It is 10th of September and it means that there is a new challenge at Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenge blog as of today. :) This month's theme is super fun: 

I don't usually really celebrate Halloween - it's not that big thing in Finland, but it's just so much fun to make Halloween cards (or other Halloween themed crafts). :) So here is my DT card for your inspiration.

The image is "Dora the Protectress Witch" by AliciaBel, who is one of our sponsors and generously provided me with this image. I coloured the image with ProMarkers, inked the background with Distress Ink "tea dye" and then covered the background with Stickles "Star Dust". I added some Stickles "Diamond" on the eyes and the mouth of Jack'O Lantern to bring additional glow to it. I wanted to use so much sparkle 'cause I thought that being a Protectress Witch she'll have a sweet aura of all things beautiful around her. :) I used some copper cardstock for layering the image, the sentiment and the background. On the background I used some orange DP, which I found from my scraps box and then I covered the whole thing with non-woven fabric to create a look and feel that it's all covered with spider web. There's some brown-and-gold ribbon, an orange felt maple leaf and orange-and-black heart button as embellies. The sentiment is a sticker from a stack of Halloween themed stickers I've got from a friend.

Tervehdys rakkaat lukijat! Tänään on syyskuun 10. päivä ja se tarkoittaa, että tänään alkaa uusi haaste Open-Minded Crafting Fun -haasteblogissa. Tällä kertaa aiheena on "Halloween / dress up" eli ei muuta kuin hulluttelemaan Halloween-aiheiden kanssa tai leikittelemään pukeutumisella. Omassa kortissani noudatin Halloween-teemaa.

Käyttämäni kuva on "Dora the Protectress Witch", jonka sain käyttööni sponsoriltamme AliciaBeliltä. Halusin taustalle paljon kimallusta, sillä ajattelin, että suojelusnoidalla täytyy olla aura, joka säteilee ympärilleen kaikkea kaunista ja hyvää. ;) Lisäsin kurpitsalyhdyn silmiin ja suuhun myös vähän kimmellystä Sticklesillä "Diamond". Käytin kerrostukseen kuparinväristä helmiäiskartonkia. Oranssin kuviopaperin löysin silppulaatikostani ja päällystin sen valkealla kuitukankaalla luodakseni vähän sellaista fiilistä, kuin tausta olisi paksun hämähäkinseitin peitossa. Lisukkeena ruskeaa, kultasomisteista nauhaa, huopavaahteranlehti sekä musta-oranssi sydännappi. Teksti on Halloween-aiheisesta tarra-arkista, jonka olen saanut ystävältäni.

Luistavissa tunnelmissa

Vierailin joku aika sitten Porvoossa sijaitsevassa Paperipilvi-liikkeessä (aivan mielettömän ihana kauppa, voin suositella) aikeenani ostaa yksi puuttuva ProMarker väri, jos sitä löytyy. Löytyihän se + kolme muuta ProMarkeria ja sitten pari stanssia... *ups* Ihanat stanssit pääsivät nyt tositoimiin, kun antauduin joulukorttien vietäväksi.

I visited city of Porvoo some time ago and a craft store Paperipilvi there. I was planning to buy only one missing ProMarker colour, but I ended up buying 4 + some gorgeous dies... :D Of course I needed to test out those dies, so I've made some Christmas cards.
 

Tässä kortissa luistimet ja lumihiutaleet on siis stanssattu Joy!:n stansseilla. Kuviopaperi on silppulaatikon kätköistä ja kerrostukseen käytin harmaata kartonkia. Lisukkeena on lumihiutaletarranauhaa.

In this card the skates and snowflakes are cut with Joy! dies. The DP is from my scraps box and I used some grey cardstock for layering. In addition a sticker snowflake ribbon.

Toinen kortti on selkeästi joulukortti ja siihen hain vähän vanhanajan tunnelmaa. Luistimet stanssattu samaisella Joy!:n stanssilla kuin ensimmäisessäkin kortissa, mutta tässä mustetin niitä kevyesti Distress Inkin sävyllä "tea dye". Teksti on leimattu Stampendousin leimoilla ja DI:n musteella. Kuviopaperi on DesigneRPaper-lehtiöstä ja ressasin sen reunoja saksilla ja DI:n "tea dye" musteella. Kerrostukseen käytin ruskeaa paperia, joka tosin näkyy vähän huonosti...

The other card is more obviously a Christmas card and I went for little vintage look and feel. The skates are again cut with Joy! die, but in this one I inked them slightly with Distress Ink "tea dye". The text is stamped with Stampendous stamps and it says "Joyful Christmas" in Finnish. The DP is from a DesigneRPaper stack and I distressed the edges with scissors and DI "tea dye" ink. I used some brown paper for layering - although that's not so clearly visible...

Kalakortti

60-vuotiaan kalamiehen kortissa oli luonnollisesti kalastusteemaa ja liekö sieltä jäänyt jotenkin tämä teema päälle. :) Tällä kertaa kortin pääosaan tosin pääsi ihan ne itse eväkkäät.

Kalakuva on Reprintin arkista, jossa on useita meriteemaisia kuvia. Niitä tulossa varmaan lähitulevaisuudessa lisää tänne blogiinkin. Taustan kuviopaperi on Pion Designsin, kerrostukseen käytin persikkaista kartonkia (en ole tuosta väristä ihan varma, kun on jotenkin niin hassu väliväri). Lisukkeena vähän verkkonauhaa, nappeja sekä Marianne Designsin stansseilla stanssattuja simpukoita. Kuva on kohotettu pohjasta 1,5mm 3D tarrapaloilla.

There was a fishing theme in the card that I made for 60 year's celebrations of a relative who loves to fish. Somehow that theme still facinates me so here's another card with fish theme - this time though the fishes have the actual main role in the card. :) The image is from a Reprint sheet, which has several maritime themed images. I will probably share few others in the near future too as they are all so facinating to create with. The DP is by Pion Designs and I used some peach cardstock (I'm not sure of the actual color, it looks so in between every colour) cardstock for layering. In addition some net ribbon, buttons and sea shells cut with Marianne Designs die. The image is attached with 1,5mm 3D foam pads for added dimension.

Syksyä odotellessa

Ajatukset ovat jo vahvasti syksyssä ja tänä aamuna oli aurinkoisesta säästä huolimatta todella syksyinen tuuli ulkona. Melkein jo odotan, että pääsee pukeutumaan ihaniin neuleisiin, syyskenkiin ja huiveihin. Sadetta ja pimeyttä en sen sijaan odota yhtään... Mutta sitä syksyä odotellessa tässä yksi kirjanmerkki.

My thoughts are already towards the autumn and I can't wait to wear all those lovely sweaters, shoes and scarves. However, I don't wait for rain or darkness... But while waiting for autumn to really hit (it did that already in the beginning of August, but then we've had some really lovely summery days too) I made a bookmark for those dark evenings and rainy days when the best thing to do is A) craft or B) read.
 

Tausta on taas tuttuun tapaan ekokartongista, jonka päällystin silppulaatikosta löytyneellä kuviopaperilla. Kuva on Art by MiRanin "Loving Autumn Annie", jonka voitin joku aika sitten, kun korttini valittiin Art by MiRanin haasteessa TOP 3:n joukkoon. Lisukkeena sirkkarengas, oranssia nauhaa sekä silppupapereista lävistäjällä leikattuja vaahteranlehtiä.

The background is again made of eco cardstock, which I covered with this cute squirrell DP from my scraps box. The image is "Loving Autumn Annie" by Art by MiRan and I won it some time ago when I made it on TOP 3 at Art by MiRan's challenge. In addition an eyelet, orange ribbon and some maple leaves cut with a punch out of some scraps.

Väritin kuvan ProMarkereilla ja vaikka jostain syystä kuvassa tuo näyttääkin vähän rakeiselta, niin lopputulos oli ilahduttavan onnistunut. Ehkä minäkin pikkuhiljaa opin. :) Mustetin kuvan Distress Inkin sävyllä "Tea dye" ja ripottelin tosiaan noita vaahteranlehtiä vähän sinne ja tänne.

I coloured the image with ProMarkers and although it looks a bit weird in the photo (somehow almost like there's some texture in the clothes/face), it's actually delightfully good in real life. Maybe I'm learning. :) I inked the edges with Distress Ink "Tea dye" and added maple leaves here and there.
