Taustan kuviopaperi on Lidlin lehtiöstä, kerrostettu viininpunaisella tekstuuripintaisella kartongilla. 3D kukat liimasin kasaan ihan sellaisenaan ja taustalle laitoin samaa kartonkia kuin mitä kuviopaperin alle. Lisukkeena leveää, kullalla tehostettua violettia nauhaa sekä ääriviivatarranumerot.
Osallistun tällä kortilla seuraaviin haasteisiin:
Get Creative Challenges -haasteeseen #27 "Birthday"
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #21 "Anything goes"
My neighbour had her 80th birthday, so of course I wanted to make a nice card for her. The DP is from a stack bought from Lidl and I used some light burgundy cardstock on the background. The flowers are 3D (or decoupage - whatever you call them) images, which I simply glued together and attached on a piece of cardstock. In addition some golden and purple ribbon and peel off sticker numbers.
I participate with this card in the following challenges:

Joululeimasinten suosikki
Joulukorteissa siirrytään nyt ääriviivatarrojen maailmasta vaihteeksi taas väritetyn leimakuvan pariin.
Kuva on Penny Blackin superliikkis lumiukko - tämä on mun ykkössuosikki joululeimoista. Väritin kuvan ProMarkereilla ja lisäsin alaosaan Sticklesiä "Frosted Lace". Stanssasin kuvan aika tiukalla rajauksella Nellie Snellenin ympyrästanssilla. Taustalle laitoin silppulaatikosta palan tekstuuripintaista harmaata kartonkia ja sen päälle suikaleen jouluista DCWV:n kuviopaperia. Tekstin leimasin FinnStamperin leimasimella.
Olisi muuten tosi kiva kuulla kommentteja teiltä rakkaat lukijat, että mikä on teidän lemppari joululeimasin?
Osallistun tällä kortilla seuraaviin haasteisiin:
The ABC Challenge "U is for Unlimited"
Christmas Card Challenge #49 "Anything goes"
Penny Black and More "November Challenge - Anything Christmas"
I've posted couple of Christmas cards with peel off stickers lately, but now it's again time for a coloured image. This image is a super cute snowman by Penny Black - this is my favourite stamp out of Christmas stamps I own. I coloured the snowman with ProMarkers and added some Stickles "Frosted Lace" on the bottom. I cut the image with Nellie Snellen's circle die, using quite tight cropping. On the background I used some grey texture cardstock, which I found from my scraps box. Between the cardstock and image I put a strip of Christmas DP by DCWV. The text says "Merry Christmas" in Finnish and it's a stamp by FinnStamper.
It would be really fun to "hear" what's your favourite Christmas stamp, so please share in comments!

Hyvää isänpäivää!
Tänään juhlitaan isänpäivää, joten tämän päivän postauksen aiheena on luonnollisesti isänpäivä.
Osallistun kortillani seuraaviin haasteisiin:
Ants in My Pantry Digital Challenge #11 "Anything goes"
Catch The Bug Challenge "November Anything Goes Challenge"
It is Father's Day in Finland so naturally today's card is for dad. The image is "Guy - car" by Bugaboo and I coloured it with ProMarkers. The DP is by Papermania and I typed the greetings with computer. This time very simple card, but dad liked it and I guess that's what matters. :)

Hopeinen poro joulukortissa
Taas pukkaa joulukorttia ulos. Ääriviivatarrat on kyllä joulukorttiaskartelussa ihan helmiä - suht nopeasti saa mukavan näyttävääkin jälkeä aikaan.
Kuviopaperi on DCWV:n The Christmas and The Winter 180 Stack -lehtiöstä ja kerrostettu tummansinisellä, tekstuuripintaisella helmiäiskartongilla. Poron lisäksi koristelin kortin saman tarra-arkin lumihiutaletarroilla.
It's again time for one Christmas card. I just love it how quick and easy it is to make quite impressive cards with peel off stickers. In this card I used silver peel off sticker reindeer and the text stamp by Stampendous as the main elements. The DP is by DCWV from their "The Christmas and The Winter 180 Stack". I used some dark blue texture pearlscent cardstock for layering. In addition I decorated the card with silver peel off sticker snowflakes from the same set as the reindeer. The text says "Peaceful Christmas and New Year" in Finnish.

Joulukortteja ääriviivatarroilla
Ja joulukorttia pukkaa taas. Tällä kertaa mennään ääriviivatarrojen avulla ilman leimakuvia.
Today is time for more Christmas cards. This time I played with some stickers instead of coloured images.
In this card I used some red cardstock, which is both on the background and in the stars. The golden peel off stickers are attached on the red cardstock and fussy cut with scissors. I used some 3D foam pads to attach the stars. In addition just some wide ribbon. I like how this card turned out, although it is fairly simple and it was really quick to make.
In this card I used a golden Christmas bauble sticker, which I attached on a Christmas DP by DCWV and fussy cut. I used stickers from the same set on the corners of the card, so they are actually golden although they look more silvery in this photo... The text (one kind of Chrstimas greetings in Finnish) is stamped with Stampendous stamps and I embossed it with golden embossing powder. In addition I used a piece of golden-and-white ribbon, which I put through the fastening ring of the bauble.

Väritin Art by MiRanin "Eirwen" -kuvan ProMarkereilla ja leikkasin irti ääriviivoja mukaillen. Kuva on Art by MiRanin Facebook Progressive -haasteen kuukauden kuva, joten sain sen ilmaiseksi, koska osallistuin haasteeseen myös edellisessä kuussa. Kuviopaperi on DCWV:n The Christmas and The Winter 180 Stack -lehtiöstä, jonka kerrostin punaisella kartongilla. Lisukkeena vihreää nauhaa. Tekstin leimasin FinnStamperin leimalla ja leikkasin koneella tulostetun soikion avulla saksilla muotoon. Kohotin Eirwenin taustasta 1mm 3D tarrapaloilla. Ai niin, leiskan lainasin Papertake Weekly -haasteen malleista.

Papertake Weekly Challenge "Take Your Pick" - Sketch (#79)
I'm sorry I've been MIA this week, but long days at work and dark nights are just poison to the blog. It's really difficult to make decent photos when it's dark, so I haven't had any photos and thus nothing to post.
Although it's Halloween season right now, I'm in the Christmas mood. Today's card started with traditional Christmas colours - so green and red. I kept the card fairly simple and wanted to highlight the pretty image. The image is "Eirwen" by Art by MiRan and I coloured her with ProMarkers before fussy cutting the image. Eirwen is the image of the month in ABM Facebook Progressive Challenge, so I got her for free as I played along in the challenge last month. The DP is by DCWV, from their The Christmas and The Winter 180 Stack few years back. I used red cardstock for layering as well as on the background of the image. In addition some green ribbon. The text is a stamp by FinnStamper and it says "Merry Christmas" in Finnish. I cut the oval shape with scissors using a printed oval as a template. I used some 1mm 3D foam pads for added dimension to attach the image. Oh, and the sketch is borrowed from Papertake Weekly Sketches.

Peilikuvaleimaus
Leimasin on Tiddly Inksin suloinen pingu, jonka siis YouTuben avustuksella sain käännettyä peilikuvaksi. YouTubesta hakusanoilla "mirror stamping". Leima liukuu kuitenkin noilla muilla pinnoilla tosi herkästi ja sitten kuvaa siirtäessä pinta helposti liikahtaa paperilla hitusen, minkä seurauksena leimakuvasta tulee tuhruinen.
Kuviopaperit ovat DCWV:n The Christmas and The Winter 180 Stack -lehtiöstä. Lisukkeena satiininauhaa sekä FinnStamperin leimalla leimattu teksti. Niin ja kuvan stanssasin Sizzixin ovaalistanssilla.
P*skarteluhaaste challenge had the theme "mirror stamping" few weeks back. The technique sounded so fun that I wanted to try it out, although I didn't make it on time to participate the challenge. However, I just had to make one card using mirror stamping technique. The image is cute pinguin by Tiddly Inks - the left one is the original stamp and the right one is mirror image. This was really frustrating and difficult technique for me, but after ten+ attempts I managed to make one decent one, which ended up in this card. Mirror stamping is possible to do with several diffirent materials, but I tried in this at least cellophane, acrylic stamp and that thing plastic sheet that is used in most of the stamp sets to cover the stamps. You'll find detailed instructions for this technique online e.g. by searching with "mirror stamping" in YouTube. Anyway, what makes it difficult is that when you first stamp the image on another surface like cellophane, the stamp glides on the surface really easily. Also when transferring the image from the surface onto paper/cardstock it's really difficult to NOT move it at all when pressing it down. So the image is really easily smudged. This is definitely a nightmare for a meticulous person, who doesn't have the patience to do the same thing over and over and over again - and just through away the unsuccessul attempts. :P Also the mirror image has lighter lines than the original stamp so I went through all the lines with a narrow tip marker before colouring the images with pencils.
The DPs are by DCWV from their The Christmas and The Winter 180 Stack. In addition some red ribbon and a text stamped by FinnStamper stamp. The text says "Merry Christmas" in Finnish. Oh, and I cut the image with Sizzix oval die.
