Today begins a new challenge at Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenges. The theme for the next fortnight is "Summer Food" so bring out all those gorgeous creations showing BBQ, picnic, ice cream and other summer food images!
My DT card this time is on berrylicious mood. ;) In addition to ice cream, strawberries are definitely my favourite summer "food". The image is "Strawberries" by Oak Pond Creations, which is one of our challenge sponsors this time. I coloured the image with ProMarkers and fussy cut it. I used some 1mm foam pads under the image for added dimension, but I wanted to keep it pretty subtle, so therefore only 1mm. The gingham paper is from Papermania's Portobello Road stack, the red paper just plain red copy paper. "Just For You" stamp is from Kanban's "Wooly Bears - Isobel" stamp set. In addition just some white paperflowers, which I styled to look like strawberry flowers by adding some yellow gel pen in the centres.
Inside I added the same image in smaller size, but left it as black-and-white. I cut the image and gingham paper with Nellie Snellen's circle dies.
We have four wonderful sponsors in our challenge:
Digistamps4joy - 5 images
Oak Pond Creations - 3 images
The East Wind - 3 images
Whoopsi Daisy Desings - 2 Sheets of Digis
So head to the Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenge blog and enjoy some more inspiration by my lovely teamies before running to your crafts table and submitting your creations to the challenge. ;) We are all looking forward to see what you come up with this theme "Summer Food".
I participate in the following challenges:
Sister Act Card Challenge #68 "Anything goes"
Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 49 "Any digi goes"
Käytin 1mm:n 3D tarrapaloja kohottamaan kuvaa hieman irti taustasta. Ruutupaperi on Papermanian Portobello Road -lehtiöstä ja yksivärinen paperi tavallista punaista kopiopaperia. "Just For You" -teksti on Kanbanin "Wooly Bears - Isobel" -setistä.
Haasteessa on tällä kertaa mukana neljä hienoa sponsoria: Digistamps4joy, Oak Pond Creations, The East Wind ja Whoopsi Daisy Designs. Ei siis muuta kuin suuntaa Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenges -blogiin hakemaan lisää inspiraatiota muilta DT-tiimin jäseniltä ennen kuin säntäät askartelupöydän ääreen. Odotamme kovasti näkevämme millaisia luomuksia tällä kesäruokateemalla syntyy!
Osallistun korttillani seuraaviin haasteisiin:
Sister Act Card Challenge #68 "Anything goes"
Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 49 "Any digi goes"

Näillä helteillä yksi suosikkisyötävistäni on jäätelö!
Leiska on muuten Papertake Weekly haasteesta, skecth #92, joten osallistun kortillani ko. haasteeseen "Sketchi free for all".
With this kind of heat we currently have in Finland, my favourite food is ice cream! Therefore I couldn't resist when I saw a post about this freebie by Deedee's Digis in NanaConnies "Grammy's Attic" blog. However, since I was on a holiday trip, I couldn't make it earlier, but now I finally had the possibility to sit at my crafting table and colour this great image. I coloured the octopus with ProMarkers and inked the background with Versa Magic "Sea breeze". I cut the image and the turqoise handmade paper layering it with Nellie Snellen's circle die - it seems I'm having "a thing" with circles at the moment. :) The DP is from some very old stack and although it's really nice it just hadn't ended up in any card before. I used the backside of the same paper for matting and also the top of the card has the same backside paper. The green/turqoise circles are cut from the same handmade paper as the layer under the image. The text came with the image and used the same "Sea breeze" ink to colour it. In addition some light turqoise satin ribbon and water drop blings.
Since the sketch is by Papertake Weekly Challenge - sketch #92 - I participate in the current challenge "Sketchie free for all".

Dreams can come true
Kuviopaperit on Lidlin paperikosta.
Osallistun kortillani luonnollisesti haasteisiin, joista ammensin insipiraatiota:
Papertake Weekly Challenge "Sketchie free for all" - sketch #92
Path of Positivity Challenge #16 "Dreams"
Polkadoodles Challenge WK 30 "Clash the colours"
This card was inspired by three different challenges and I'm really happy how it turned out. The image is "Taylorbell" by Flat Friends Boutique and I coloured it with ProMarkers. I cut the image and two layers of paper under it with Nellie Snellen's circle die set. The DPs are from Lidl's stack. The Walt Disney quote is printed out on the same thick paper as the image. I layered it with dark purple paperboard and added some Liquid Pearls on the corners. In addition some flowers coloured with ProMarkers and covered with Stickles. I used some brads as the centres of the flowers.
The Walt Disney quote is very close to my heart as it was written on the card I got from my job when I started a study leave. I pursue one big dream by studying something completely new so this is a perfect motto for myself at the moment.
I participate with this card naturally in the challenges I got the inspiration from:

Pari nopeaa vintagekorttia
I've made these two cards already a while ago when I didn't feel like colouring images and wanted to create some cards suitable for male recipients. I've used papers from my scraps box on both cards. The images are from a scrap paper, which I've bought separetely ages ago so I don't remember whose make it is. The first card has some buttons and ribbon as embellies, the second one piece of washitape and some left over circles from a die cut.
These were quick and simple to make, but I'm happy with them. :)

Postaan toisen ehdokkaan joku toinen kerta.
This is going to be a long post so I'll squeeze the English texts in between the images instead of my usual style having the other language in the end. My friend is getting married today so of course I needed a nice card. I made two options, but this was the one that got selected with the gift. :) I'll post the other card later.
Taustalla on ihanaa eläväpintaista ruskeaa paperia sekä kakkupapereita. Kuva on Sliekjen söpö digikuva, jonka väritin ProMarkereilla.
Background is done with brown paper and doilies. The image is cutie wedding couple by Sliekje and it's coloured with ProMarkers. I cut the image and the brown paper for layering with Marianne Designs' die. I wrote the text on computer and printed out on the same brown paper I used otherwise. Both the text and the pearlscent heart under it is cut with Sizzix dies. In addition I used some non-woven fabric, wide ribbon, paper roses, flat pearls and Stickles. I even added a pin with some pearls.
Inside I used the same brown paper as on the cover and the heart combo is similar as well, but with different text.
Here is a photo taken from the side so you'll see the dimensions a bit better. I used some 3D foam pads under the heart for added dimension.
Paperi on melko paksua, joten toimii tämmöisen matalan laatikon kantena. Leikkasin kanteen aukon, jonka peitin piirtoheitinkalvolla, jotta siitä näkyy läpi. Boksi pysyy kiinni samalla leveällä nauhalla, jota käytin kortissa ja tein siihenkin koristeeksi tekstisydämen. Nauha menee boksin ympärille pujottamalla.
Instead of an envelope I made a box for the card as the card was quite thick and it needed to survive a trip by airplane in my luggage. I made the box out of white cardstock and the lid with the same brown paper as in the card. Since the paper is pretty thick it works in a lid, which is not that big and thick. I cut a hole and used some see-through plastic to cover it so you'll see the card through it. I used the same wide ribbon as in the card to close the box and added yet another heart as decoration. The ribbon is made as a loop so you don't need to tie it.

I got this urge to make some cards on my holiday at my mum's and luckily mum did have some papers etc. that I could dig in. I have to say it's hard to create when you don't have your own equipment and materials at hand, but then again it was a nice challenge. :) So these two cards are what I came up with.
The pink vintage card has papers by Graphic 45 and I used some black paperboard to mat the papers. Also the image was from the same Graphic 45 stack as the papers. In addition just a doily.
The second card wishes you a merry Christmas. I made the card base out of copper pearlscent paperboard. The DP was some random piece so I have no idea of its make. The candle image is a 3D image, which I put together with some double-sided tape and attached in the middle of the doily. The text (Merry Christmas in Finnish) was a ready-made paperboard banner.

Iloista joulua keskellä heinäkuuta
Tai no eihän me enää missään keskellä heinäkuuta olla, loppua kohti jo mennään. :)
Tähän joulukorttiin hain inspiraatiota ennen kaikkea Christmas Card Challenge -blogin kuvahaasteesta. Kuviopaperit ovat DCWV:n The Christmas and Winter 180 Stack -lehtiöstä. Lisukkeena ainoastaan vihreälle kartongille embossattu FinnStamperin "Iloista Joulua" -teksti, jonka stanssasin ympyrästanssilla sekä Sticklesillä kuorrutettu lumihiutale.
Osallistun kortillani seuraaviin haasteisiin:
Christmas Card Challenge #34 "Inspiration photo"
Come and Get It Challenge "Christmas in July"
Papertake Weekly Challenge "It's A Jolly Holiday"
It is Christmas in July at Come and Get It Challenge, super delicious inspiration photo at Christmas Card Challenge, and a jolly holiday at Papertake Weekly Challenge so I just decided to go with the flow and welcome Christmas again here right in the middle of July. Okey, it's not technically speaking middle of July anymore as the month is almost at its end, but since the summer weather has been here only for such a short time it feels like we're at least in the middle of the summer at the moment. So this card was inspired by the above mentioned challenges. The DP is from The Christmas and Winter 180 Stack by DCWV. In addition just a "Merry Christmas" text (in Finnish) stamped and heat embossed on green cardstock and cut with circle die. I added one small snowflake covered with Stickles in the middle of the circle, but didn't want to add any other embellies.
