OMCF #30 Up In The Air - DT post

Happy Valentine's Day!!! Today is again time for a new challenge at Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenges. This time our theme is...

So something airy or flying or... should be found in your creation.

My DT card features a cute digi "Michelle in Hot Air Balloon" by our generous sponsor MilkCoffee Digital Stamps. I coloured the image with ProMarkers and inked the background with Versa Magic "Sea Breeze". I cut the top of the hot air balloon first by scissors and then the rest of the image with circle die by Nellie Snellen. I used a bigger die from the same set to cut the background cardstock. The DP is by DCWV from Tahiti Beach stack and the text I typed with computer. I layered everything with orange cardstock and added some yellow ribbon and few bling flowers as embellies. I kept the embellishments quite simple as the DP has some glitter in it and I wanted to keep the image in the focus of this card. Oh, both the image and the text is attached with 3D foam pads for some dimension.

Oikein ihanaa ystävänpäivää kaikille lukijoilleni!!! Tänään alkaa jälleen uusi haaste Open-Minded Crafting Fun -haasteblogissa ja tällä kertaa aiheenamme on "Up In The Air". Eli jotain lentävää, ilmavaa, lennokasta tms. olisi luomuksista syytä löytyä. Itse sain korttiini käytettäväksi sponsorimme MilkCoffee Digital Stampsin digin "Michelle In Hot Air Balloon", jonka väritin ProMarkereilla. Mustetin kuvan taustan Versa Magicin sävyllä "Sea Breeze" ja leikkasin ensin kuumailmapallon yläosan irti saksilla ja sen jälkeen stanssasin kuvan ympyrästanssilla. Taustalle stanssasin oranssista kartongista hieman isomman ympyrän. Kuviopaperi on DCWV:n Tahiti Beach Stack -lehtiöstä ja kerrostukseen olen käyttänyt siis oranssia kartonkia. Tekstin kirjoitin ja tulostin koneella - ja mustetin myös sen kevyesti tuolla samalla Versa Magicin musteella. Lisukkeena vain keltaista nauhaa ja muutama blingikukkanen. Halusin pitää koristeet melko minimissä, jotta kuva pääsee oikeuksiinsa ja kun paperissa oli glitteritkin valmiina, niin paljoa tähän ei edes tarvinnut. Kohottelin sekä kuvan että tekstin 3D tarrapaloilla, niin sain korttiin vähän ulottuvuutta.

Lisää pöllöilyä

Postasin joku aika sitten tämän ruskeasävyisen CAS pöllökortin, jonka tein ystävältäni saamalla leimasimella. Tässä toinen samalla leimasimella tehty, mutta eri väreissä.

Kuviopaperit on Papermanian, kuten pöllöleimasinkin. Väritin pöllön ProMarkereilla ja lisäsin silmiin reippaasti glossya. Ensimmäinen glossykerros jäi vähän epätasaiseksi, joten saadakseni röpelöt piiloon lisäsin vielä pari lisäkerrosta, joten on muuten mulkosilmät... :P Tekstileima on Tim Holtzin.


I posted this brown-and-white CAS owl card some time ago. Here is another card made with the same owl stamp, which I got from my dear friend. The DPs are by Papermania and so is the owl stamp. I coloured the owl with ProMarkers and added plenty of glossy to the eyes. The first glossy layer was pretty uneven, so I added more glossy to smoothen the surface - and ended up with eyes like these... Oh well, they bring some interes to this otherwise pretty simple card. :P The text stamp is by Tim Holtz.

Love, love, love

Se on sitten Ystävänpäivä tällä viikolla ja joka paikka on täynnä rakkautta. Näyttää olevan myös yleinen teema blogosfäärissä, sillä useammassakin haasteblogissa on teemana rakkaus.

Kuva on The East Windin helmikuun freebie digi "Aurora Hart Flower" ja väritin kuvan taas ProMarkereilla. Paidan sydämeen lisäsin vielä punaista Sticklessiä tuomaan vähän kimmellystä. Taustalla on punaista kartonkia, vaaleansininen kuviopaperi on Papermanian Capsule-sarjasta ja harmaa tekstikuviopaperi on silppulaatikon pohjalta. "Love" -teksti on pala washiteippiä, jonka liimasin punaiselle kartongille. Kerrostin kaikki paperit ja kuvan mustalla kartongilla ja lisäsin koristeeksi nauhoja, pitsiä ja sydän haaraniitit. Pitsi oli muuten alunperin valkoista, mutta värjäsin sen ProMarkereilla mustaksi, kun sopi mielestäni paremmin mustana tähän korttiin.

So, this week is all about the Valentine's Day and every place is full of love, including the challenge blogs. Well, I don't mind, love is such a positivite thing. :) In my card I used the lovely freebie of the month by The East Wind. It's called "Aurora Hart Flower" and I coloured her with ProMarkers adding just a bit of glitter to the heart of her shirt in form of Stickless. The background is red cardstock, the blue DP by Papermania and the grey text DP from my scraps box. The "love" text is actually a piece of washi tape, which I attached on red cardstock. I used black cardstock for layering all the paper elements. In addition ribbons, lace and heart brads. The lace was originally white, but I used ProMarkers to colour (or dye in this case) the lace in black as I thought that black lace matched this card better.

OMCF #29 "No pink and no red" - second DT post

Hello dear readers! We are half way through the "No pink and no red" challenge at Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenge blog - and I made another card for your inspiration for this challenge. :)

The image is beautiful "Moon Song Fairy" by The Art of Ronne P. Barton, which is one of our generous sponsors in the challenge. I coloured the image with ProMarkers and added some Stickless to fairy's wings (Star Dust) and belt (Diamond). The DP is from a stack bought from Lidl and I used some dark blue pearlscent cardstock for layering the DP and the image. In addition I used some non-woven fabric, ribbon, gems and two silver butterflies.

Pienen prinsessan perheelle

Tämän kortin tein äskettäin syntyneen kummityttöni perheelle. En tiedä oliko syynä rakkaus ja lämpimät ajatukset vai mikä, mutta tästä kyllä tuli yksi ehkä onnistuneimmista korteista, joita olen tehnyt. :) Luvassa on paljon kuvia, joten ota mukava asento ja vaikka kuppi kuumaa lukuseuraksi.

My lovely goddaughter was born recentely and this is the card I made for her family. I don't know whether it was love and happy thoughts or what, but I think this is one of the best cards I've ever made. :) This post is loaded with photos, so grap a cuppa and relax while scrolling down the page.

Kortin värimaailmaksi valikoitui vihreä ja valkea, sillä en halunnut tehdä perinteistä vaaleanpunaista tyttökorttia. Halusin tehdä jotain hieman tavallisesta poikkeavaa muutenkin, joten päädyin ns. gatefold-korttiin.

I chose white-and-green colour scheme because I didn't want to make traditional pink baby girl card. And as I wanted to be bit different otherwise too, I decided to make a gatefold card.

Söpöinen leimakuva on Forever Friendsin "New Arrival" -leimasetistä ja väritetty ProMarkereilla. Ressasin kuvan reunoja hieman saksilla ja kerrostin vaaleanvihreällä kartongilla. Kuva toimii myös kortin sulkijana, sillä oikean yläkulman saa sujautettua vihreän helmihaaraniitin alle.

This cutie stamp is by Forever Friends, from "New Arrival" stamp set. I coloured the image with ProMarkers and distressed the edges lightly with scissors before matting it with light green cardstock. The image acts as the closing element of the card as the upper right corner can be slipped under the green pearl brad to hold the card close.

Kannessa käytin taustalla vaaleanvihreää kartonkia ja paneeleiden keskelle laitoin kapeat suikaleet kuviopaperia, jonka olen ostanut irtoarkkina enkä muista valmistajaa. Lisukkeeksi laitoin lasinalusia/kakkupapereita, paperikukkia, aiemmin mainitsemani helmihaaraniitin ja pari vauva-aiheista nappikoristetta.

I used some light green cardstock as the base on the cover and placed some DP on both sides. I've bougth the DP as separate sheet quite some time ago and unfortunately I cannot remember who made it... In addition I used doilies, paper flowers, the pearl brad I already mentioned and couple of baby themed embellies.

Tässä kortti avattuna. Sivupaneeleihin leimasin ja leikkasin erilaisia elementtejä samaisesta leimasetistä kuin kannen kuvakin, värityksiin käytin jälleen ProMarkereita. Runon löysin netistä ja tulostin paksulle valkealla paperille. Alle kirjoitin vielä tervehdyksen käsin (blurrattu kuvasta).

This is the inside of the card. I used stamped elements from the same Forever Friends stamp set on the side panels, coloured again with ProMarkers. The poem is printed on white thick paper. I wrote also a personal greetings on the card below the poam (blurred from the photo).

Keijukaistyttö

Tämän kortin tein ihan vain ilman sen kummempaa tarkoitusta tai suunnitelmaa. Sain Faery Inkin digikuvan ilmaiseksi, niin sehän täytyi päästä värittämään ja oikeastaan kuva sitten saneli loput kortista. :)

Kuva on siis Faery Inkin "Beauty" ja väritin kuvan ProMarkereilla. Siipiin lisäsin Sticklessiä (Diamond) tuomaan kimallusta ja keijuefektiä. :) Taisin ensimmäistä kertaa muuten tehdä hiuksista näin vaaleat... Kuviopaperi on ihana Michele R Designsin digipaperi ja tekstileima Country Companions -leimasetistä. Ressasin vähän reunoja saksilla ja käytin kerrostukseen vaaleankeltaista, käsintehtyä paperia. Lisukkeena pitsiä, kakkupaperilasinalunen ja vesihelmiblingejä.

This card was made simply because I just wanted to put this cutie fairy into a card. I got this Faery Ink "Beauty" when it was one-day-freebie at Faery Ink challenge blog, but it's still available to buy if you like (follow the link in the name). I coloured the image with ProMarkers and added Stickless (Diamond) to her wings to bring some bling and fairy effect. ;) I think this was the first time I coloured this blond hair... The DP is wonderful digi paper by Michele R Designs and the text stamp is from a Country Companions stamp set. I distressed the edges lightly with scissors and layered everything with light yellow handmade paper. In addition some lace, doily and waterdrop blings.

Herkkää ja hempeää

Oikein hyvää alkuviikkoa! Tämä viikko alkaa hempeissä tunnelmissa kevättä kaivaten.

Kuva on Delicious Doodlesin superihana Blossoms, jonka väritin ProMarkereilla. Lisäsin rannekoruun ja perhoseen hieman glittergeelikynää, mutta taustankin väritin ProMarkereilla. Kuviopaperit kaivoin jälleen silppulaatikosta. En tosin ymmärrä, että miten se ei tunnu tyhjenevän ollenkaan, vaikka viime aikoina olen suorastaan ahkeroinut sen tyhjentämiseksi..? Ressasin kuvan ja papereiden reunoja kevyesti saksilla. Kerrostukseen käytin aavistuksen pinkkiin taittuvaa punaista kartonkia. Tekstileima on Tim Holtzin leimasetistä, tosin maskasin sen kahdelle riville. Lisukkeena pitsiä sekä ProMarkereilla värjättyjä paperikukkia, jotka kuorrutin Sticklessillä (Diamond).

Kortin sisäpuolen koristelin myös, ottaen mallia kannen leiskasta, mutta kuitenkin jätin sisuksen pelkistetymmäksi.

This week will start with this sweet card and longing for spring. The image is super lovely digi "Blossoms" by Delicious Doodles. I coloured her with ProMarkers (also the background), but I added some glitter gel pen to her bracelet and the body of the butterfly. The DPs are again from my scraps box, which appears to be like Mary Poppins' magical bag: stuff just keeps coming out and it never seems to get empty... I distressed the edges of the image and DPs lightly with scissors before layering them with red cardstock. I have no idea what I should call that red..? It's very slightly towards pink, but still clearly red. Oh well, it fits the colours in the card anyway. :) The sentiment is Tim Holtz stamp, which I masked to be able to stamp it on two different lines. In addition I used some lace and paperflowers coloured with ProMarkers and covered with Stickless (Diamond).

I decorated also the inside of the card. I used the papers and partially the layout of the cover, but left it to be much more simpler.
