Surffausta delfiinien kanssa

Tämä söpö Flat Friends Boutiquen digikuva pääsi nyt ensimmäistä kertaa korttiin, vaikka kuva on ollut minulla jo pienen ikuisuuden. Bongasin Mervin kautta Craft-room Challenge -blogin, jossa haasteen aiheena on tällä kertaa "Sun, Sand and Surf", joten tuli täydellinen tilaisuus käyttää tätä kuvaa. :)

Kuva on nimeltään "Surf's Up" ja värittelin sen ProMarkereilla. Laseihin lisäsin vielä glossya linsseihin. Kuviopaperi on Lidlin lehtiöstä ja sopi mielestäni täydellisesti surffaritytön kaveriksi. Miten ihanaa olisikaan surffata delfiinien kanssa. :) Kuvan taustapaperi samaten kuin tekstin aluspaperi on tummansininen, vaikka näyttääkin kuvassa melkein mustalta. Tekstin kasasin ääriviivatarroista. Lisukkeena muutama ääriviivakukka sekä vesihelmiblingejä, jotka toimii myös telineosan stoppareina.

This cute Flat Friends Boutique's digi stamp ended up in my card for the very first time now although I've had it for ages. I found Craft-room Challenge blog thanks to Mervi and since the theme this time is "Sun, Sand and Surf" I got the perfect excuse to finally use this image. :) 

The image is called "Surf's Up" and I've coloured it with ProMarkers and added some Glossy to her goggles. The DP is from a stack bought from Lidl and I think it's pretty perfect match with this surfer girl. How great would it be to surf with the dolphins. :) The paper under the text is the same I used to mat the image and it's actually dark blue although it looks almost black in the pic. I built the text with sticker letters and added some silver sticker flowers as embellies. In addition I have some water drop gems, which also work as stoppers for the upper part of the card.

Sarah Kay vaaleansinisissä

Viime viikolla postasin vaaleanpunaisen kortin, jossa käytin Sarah Kayn 3D-kuvaa. Tässä toinen samassa siivousrupeamassa löytynyt Sarah Kayn tyttönen, tällä kertaa vaaleansinisissä.

Kasasin kuvan jälleen suoraan liimalla ilman 3D-tarrapaloja, joten efekti on hienostunut, mutta livenä se näkyy kyllä ihan kivasti. Laitoin taustalle hopeista helmiäiskartonkia, jota käytin myös kuviopaperin taustalla. Kuviopaperi on tullut jonkun askartelulehden kylkiäisenä. Lisukkeena kakkupaperia, paperiruusuja ja kynsilakalla värjättyjä paperikukkia, nauhan pätkä, puolihelmiä ja hopeista ääriviivatarranauhaa, jota vedin korttipohjan reunoihin. "Be mine"-tekstileima on Country Companionsin Lover's Lane -leimasetistä.

Last week I posted a pink card where I used 3D image by Sarah Kay. Here is another Sarah Kay image, which I found at the same time as the pink one, this time in light blue. I built the image again without 3D foam pads so the effect is really subtle, but it's there. I matted the image with silver pearlscent cartstock, which I used also to mat the DP. The paper is from a pad I've got with some craft magazine. In addition a doily, paper roses, paper flowers coloured with nailpolish, flat pearls and piece of ribbon. I put also some silver sticker ribbon on the three sides of the card base. "Be mine" text is from Country Companions Lover's Lane stamp set.

Oranssia unelmointia

Useammasta haasteesta löytyi aineksia, joista tämä kortti syntyi, mutta lähtökohtana toimi kyllä Delicious Doodles #91 "Use your Favourite DD Image".

Korttipohja on vaaleankeltainen ja taittelin sen gatefold-kortiksi. Mustetin kansien reunat ja koristelin Lidlin lehtiön oranssilla kukkapaperilla. Delicious Doodlesilla on paljon upeita kuvia, mutta kyllä tämä "Lilleth" on ehdoton suosikkini. Väritin kuvan akvarellipuuväreillä ja säiliösiveltimellä ja laitoin taustalle kultaisen, kiiltäväpintaisen kartongin. Lisukkeena kynsilakalla värjättyjä paperikukkia, joiden keskustoina on Liquid Pearlsia, lävistimellä leikattuja vaahteranlehtiä ja perhosia, puolihelmiä, kullan/pronssinhohtoista nauhaa sekä ääriviivatarrakirjaimista tehty teksti. Tuo oikeanpuoleinen kansi (jossa teksti) menee kuvan alle kiinni niin, että kortti pysyy suljettuna.

Tässä vielä kuva avatusta kortista, jonka sisäkannet on siis myös koristeltu samaisella kuviopaperilla. Jos oikein tarkkaan katsoo, niin sisäkannen yläkulmassa voi nähdä kultaisen ääriviivaperhosen, jollainen on myös toisessa sisäkannessa. Keskusta on jätetty kirjoitustilaksi ja koristeltu vain puolihelmillä, joita on sekä ylä- että alareunoissa.

Delicious Doodles -haasteen lisäksi osallistun kortillani Papertake Weekly -haasteeseen, jonka aiheena on "Anything Goes / Summer" sekä Path of Positivity -haasteeseen, jonka teemana on "Happiness". Kesä on lienee aika itsestään selvä, mutta onnellisuus välttämättä ei, joten avataan hieman miten tuo teema kortissani toteutuu. Uskon, että jokaisella ihmisellä tulisi olla unelma tai unelmia. Itselleni unelmat ovat aina olleet tärkeitä ja jo pelkkä unelmointi tuo elämään onnea ja hyvää oloa, niiden toteutumisesta nyt puhumattakaan - siksi sana "dream". Oranssi on värinä minulle onnellisuuden ja hyvänolon väri. Tulen myös onnelliseksi kukista ja kaikesta kauniista, kuten tästä DD:n kuvasta. Ja askartelu jos mikä tuo minulle hyvää oloa ja sitä kautta lisää onnellisuuttani. :)

There were several challenges that inspired me to create this card, but the starting point was definitely Delicious Doodles #91 "Use your Favourite DD Image". I made a gatefold card using light yellow paperboard. I inked the edges of the covers and used orange flower paper from a stack from Lidl on them. Delicious Doodles have plenty of gorgeous images (like all of them), but "Lilleth" is absolutely my favourite and therefore it was quite an easy choice for this challenge. :) I coloured the image with watercolour pencils and wet brush. I used some golden, glossy cartstock to mat the image. In addition I have some paper flowers coloured with nailpolish with Liquid Pearls as their centres, punched maple leaves and butterflies, flat pearls, golden/copper ribbon and text "Dream" made with sticker letters. The cover on the right-side (with the text) foldes under the image so the card stays closed.

You can see on the other image the inside of the card. I used the same DP and if you take a close look on the top corner you can see a golden butterfly sticker too. I have similar butterfly also on the other inside cover. I left the centre blank for the text and added only some flat pearls on the top and bottom of the centre part.

In addition to Delicious Doodles challenge I participate also in Papertake Weekly challenge, where the theme is "Anything Goes / Summer" and Path of Positivity challenge "Happiness". I believe the summer theme is pretty obvious, but it may need some explanation why "happiness". I believe that each person should have a dream - or many dreams. To me dreams have always been very important and just dreaming makes me happy, not to mention when the dreams come true, hence the word "Dream". Orange colour is a real feel-good colour and it also means happiness to me. Also flowers make me happy as well as everything beautiful, like this DD image. And last, but definitely not the least: crafting increases my well-being and therefore my happiness as well! :)

Open-Minded Crafting Fun #12 "Something With Wings" - DT post

Hello dear readers, it's again time for a new challenge at Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenges! The theme for challenge #12 is "Something With Wings" and here is my DT make for the challenge:

I got to play with Flat Friends Boutique's digital image called "Winter Robin". Isn't he cute or what!? I coloured him with ProMarkers and added some Stickles (shade Baby Blue) on the hat. The DP on the background is from my scraps box and so are the two half circles of blue handmade paper under it. I cut two white swirls with Sizzix die for decoration and covered them with Stickles (shade Frosted Lace). In addition I have some snowflakes punched with two different size of Fiskars punches. All snowflakes are also covered with Stickles (shades Frosted Lace and/or Diamond).

Tervehdys rakkaat lukijat! Jälleen on aika uudelle Open-Minded Crafting Fun -haasteelle. Haasteen #12 aiheena on "Something With Wings" eli jotain siivekästä pitäisi työstä löytyä. Minä sain DT-työssä käytettäväkseni suloisen "Winter Robin" -digileiman Flat Friends Boutiquelta. Väritin kuvan ProMarkereilla ja lisäsin hieman Stickelsiä (sävy Baby Blue) hattuun. Kuviopaperi on silppulaatikosta samaten kuin kaksi ympyränpuolikasta, jotka on stanssattu ja leikattu käsintehdystä paperista. Stanssasin Sizzixin stanssilla pari valkoista kiehkuraa koristeeksi ja kuorrutin ne Sticklesillä (sävy Frosted Lace). Lisukkeena vielä muutama lumihiutale, jotka olen leikellyt Fiskarsin kahdella erikokoisella lävistäjällä ja kuorruttanut Sticklesillä (sävyt Frosted Lace ja/tai Diamond).

Pikkulohhari kera keltaisen ja vihreän

Kelta-vihreällä teemalla jatketaan ja nyt pääsi Paperilohikäärmeen toinen pikkulohhari kehiin.

Kohokuvioin keltaisen kopiopaperin Sizzixin pallotaskulla ja kehystin vihreällä paperilla. Lohhari on leimattu samaiselle keltaiselle kopiopaperille ja väritetty ProMarkereilla. Vahvistin vielä ohuella mustalla tussilla kaikki ääriviivat värittelyn jälkeen, niin lohhari nousee hyvin esiin. :) Tekstileima on Papermanian Portobello Road -leimasetistä. Kehystin sekä kuvan että tekstin vihreällä paperilla ja kohottelin 3D tarrapaloilla irti pohjasta. Lisukkeena suikale vihreää kuviopaperia silppulaatikon kätköistä sekä keltainen rusetti.

Passion for ProMarkes -haasteessa on sopivasti aiheena "mythical creatures" ja Hiding in My Craft Room -haasteessa #151 on "Freestyle", joten korttini sopii hyvin molempiin.

I will continue with yellow-and-green colour theme, this time with a little cutie dragon from Paperilohikäärme. I embossed the yellow copying paper with Sizzix folder and used green paper to mat it. The dragon is stamped on the same yellow paper and I coloured it with ProMarkers. After colouring I went through the lines with narrow pointed black marker. The text stamp is from Papermania's Portobello Road set. I used green paper to mat the image and the text, and I used 3D foam pads under them to bring some dimension to the card. In addition I have a slice of green DP from my scraps box and a yellow bow.

This card enters both Passion for ProMarkers challenge with a theme "mythical creatures" and Hiding in My Craft Room challenge #151 with a theme "Freestyle".

Puutarhatunnelmissa - Aurora Gardening

Olen ihanaisten Vickyn ja Susanin ansiosta löytänyt The East Wind -blogin ja kuvat, ja ihastunut kovasti The East Windin kuviin. Kuun ensimmäinen haaste on aina Freebie-haaste eli uutiskirjeen mukana saa ilmaisen digikuvan, jota voi käyttää haasteessa.Tässä siis Aurora Gardening:

Kuviopaperi on yhden skräppisetin mukana tullut ja vihreä yksivärinen paperi on Lidlin paperikosta. Keltainen on tavallista kopiopaperia, jonka olen kohokuvioinnit askartelulehden kylkiäisenä tulleella kohokuviointitaskulla. Väritin Aurora Gardening -kuvan akvarellipuuväreillä ja säiliösiveltimellä, ja leikkasin kuvan ääriviivoja myöten irti. Lisukkeena vihreää kuitukangasta ja Fiskarsin kukkalävistimellä leikattuja kukkasia, joihin tein keskustat keltaisella glittergeelikynällä. Leimasin Somebunny to Love -leimasetin mukana tulleella tekstileimalla tekstin vihreälle paperille ja kohokuvioin sen läpinäkyvällä jauheella.

I've found The East Wind blog thanks to wonderful ladies Vicky and Susan and I'm totally fascinated by these lovely images. 1st of the month starts a freebie challenge at The East Wind blog so you'll get a freebie image with the newsletter to use in the challenge, so here is Aurora Gardening. The DP came with some scrap set I've bought in past and the green background paper is from a stack from Lidl. The yellow paper is just basic printing paper, which I've embossed with a flower embossing folder I've once got with a magazine. I coloured Aurora Gardening with water colour pencils and wet brush, and fussy cut the image. In addition I have some green non-wowen fabric and paper flowers made with Fiskars' punch. I used a yellow glitter gel pen on the centres of the flowers. I stamped the text from Somebunny to Love set on green paper and heat embossed it with clear powder.

Sarah Kay -tyttönen vaaleanpunaisessa

Löysin siivotessa yhden laatikon pohjalta 3D-kuvia, joiden joukossa oli mm. pari Sarah Kayn tyttöstä. Olin unohtanut niiden olemassaolon kokonaan, joten voi tätä ilonpäivää!

Kuviopaperi on PapeRPack-lehtiöstä ja mustetin reunat Distress Ink -musteen sävyllä "Walnut Stain". Laitoin taustalle ekokartonkia ja kietaisin alareunaan leveää kulta-valkoista nauhaa. Tekstietiketti on samaisesta lehtiöstä kuin taustapaperikin. Kasasin Sarah Kayn tytön ihan ilman 3D-paloja, joten 3D-efektistä tuli sopivan hienostunut. Kohotin kuitenkin tytön ja tekstietiketin pohjasta 3D-tarrapaloilla.

I found some 3D images while cleaning my craft drawers and this Sarah Kay girl was among those images. I had completely forgotten her existance so this was really happy day! The DP is from PapeRPack stack and I inked the edges with Distress Ink "Walnut Stain". I used some eco paperboad to mat the DP and some white-and-gold wide ribbon on the bottom of the card. I built the Sarah Kay girl without foam pads or such to get just subtle 3D effect. However, I did use 3D foam pads under the girl and under the text label, which is from the same stack as the DP.
